I love her voice. She is a great interpreter and also a good song writer. She is rare.

This young lady is an amazing artist. I don't think I've ever heard any singer who makes you feel exactly what she's feeling like Loren does. And to top it off, she has a gorgeous voice reminiscent of Sarah McLachlan and a less popish Christina Aguilera. Loren's lyrics are heartfelt (she wrote every song on the album, except for one) and sincere; you can instantly relate with what she's singing about, and if you're anything like me, you'll want to be her best friend because she seems like such a deep, interesting person.

Having really gotten into Halie lately I bought all her CD's. This is a really interesting one, I think I may detect some Tori Amos influence in the first track, Maybe I'll Fly.On the plus side, of all the CD's this has the most vocal energy and a terrific performance but the best, most demanding parts of Halie's voice are botched by clipping distortion, which is very aggravating. Did I get a bad pressing? Take a look/listen around 1:08.50 into "River" and you'll hear or see what I mean. I used Audacity to examine the file, and while the track itself does not clip the CD, keeping the necessary headroom for upsampling it's clear that the vocal peaks are clipped off, so something probably happened in the mastering process before the levels were set for the CD.It's a real shame because I can hear how good the recording should be and I know her team takes a great deal of personal pride in getting things right. Here's hoping the 24bit/96kHz remaster fixes that. :)

I've known Halie my whole life. She is very good friends with my older sister, and I've been around while Halie has been building up her music career. By the time she moved out of Alaska, her dream began, being open to more opportunities in the "lower 48."She's a wonderful person, an amazing artist. She's the real deal for sure.

ヘイリー・ロレンのキャリア最初期の作品である当アルバム。現在ではジャズシンガーとして高い評価を得ている彼女ですが、このアルバムではそんな彼女の違う一面を見ることができます。所謂「ヘイリー・ロレン節」は健在なのですが、ポップス、あるいはややロック寄りの楽曲でもなかなかの歌唱力を見せることの出来る人だということがわかります。１曲目の「Maybe I'll Fly」、２曲目の「Alone」まではいつもの「ジャズシンガー」ヘイリー・ロレンのイメージからそれほど離れないのですが、３曲目の「Sand」で「おやっ？」と思わせます。アルバムタイトル曲の「Full Circle」を通過して９曲目の「Numb」。この曲の終わり近くでエレキギターのリフをバックにタメを効かせてシャウトする彼女の声を聴いて「カッコええ！」と感嘆。ジャズ系の曲でも多彩で表情豊かな歌唱をみせる彼女ですが、こういう唄い方もできるんですね。驚きました！ロック系の楽曲での彼女の歌唱をもっと聴いてみたいと思いました。(アルバムとしての商品化はさすがに難しいと思うので、YOUTUBEあたりで何曲か歌ってアップしてくれないかな)このアルバム単体で広く一般にアピールするのはなかなか難しいかも知れませんが、ヘイリー・ロレンが好きな方で彼女の音楽キャリアの原点を知りたい方、ポップスシンガーとしての彼女の歌唱力を検証してみたい方には購入をお勧めします。

昔のレコードジャケットのような紙質に、直接CDを入れるので、摩擦により傷が入りやすい。すぐコピーして使いたい。または別ケースに入れ直すかですね。

お気に入りでーす。声がセクシーで、ヘッドフォンで聴いてると、耳元で囁かれているようで、ゾクゾクします。今、1番お気に入りの一つ。

ヘイリー・ロレンの経歴や詳細は割愛します。このアルバムですが、名作「青い影」を期待して買うと違和感があります。ジャジーな感じではなく、ポップスにすこし「こぶし」が入ったもの＝というのが正解です。これはこれで、よいと思います。彼女のファンとして、★は５つです。
