Great idea, smaller than what I expected from online description but very useful once you get the hang of it. Do a search for "spin hairpins" or "corkscrew hairpins" for many youtube videos on to learn how best to use these for what hairstyles. Usually I need only two to keep bun or french twist in place which is incredible as I have very fine thin hair that easily falls out of u-pins and even bobbypins eventually work their way down and end up dangling on errant strands. Metal through out, so have been unbreakable so far (even with my botvac eating a few up twice) and the balls on tips have stayed put which makes me think they are forged metal and not plastic, or the plastic coating is very tightly bound to the metal. No qualms highly recommending these so far. Enjoy your freedom from u-pins and bobby pins and a poked/scraped scalp!

Smaller than traditional "Goody" spin pin, but they do the trick.

I truly love these spin pins. I have limp straight hair and when I pick it up on a bun with regular hair pins, they fall off. These spin pins really stay and they do not hurt. The ends are nicely cushioned. I run with them on and they still keep the bun intact. I also sleep with them on and I wake up with my hair bun intact. Wonderful product, especially for the price. Product received as described--4 black spin pins. I hold my bun with all four pins criss-crossing them. Highly recommend them.

They do not hold my bun in place even if using all at once. My hair is medium thickness and regular bobby-pins work better.

Easy to make a good hairstyle. My hair is very long so usually I can only do the bun. It holds but there is a little sag under the bun after a couple of hours. Maybe I can use an elastic as well. Overall happy with it

I have fine, thinning hair that I would like to trap in a bun and know it would stay there. I bought these thinking it was a long shot. To my surprise, they really do work. I'm getting more for when I inevitably lose some.
