The Brew Supply Alcohol Hydrometer and Cylinder Combo Kit - Triple Scale Specific Gravity ABV Tester for Beer, Wine, Mead, Cider and Kombucha

Sturdy, but being thin glass, it doesn't seem like it would take much to break it. It can be kind of hard to read because of the thin build, as well. Since this is my first time homebrewing any type of alcohol, I don't have any experience with other brands to base it on. I'm assuming it's a pretty standard product. That being said, it seems to be a decent piece of equipment and I have had no problems with it thus far. The accuracy seems fairly good considering it read at 1.116 (roughly 15% abv) for starting gravity and the app I'm using to record my mead estimated it at about 15.22% abv. I'm definitely not disappointed with the product. The testing vial is plastic but seems sturdy. Also, the storage bag is a nice addition so everything stays together.

This is my first go at making wine. I tested the hydrometer with plain water, and it was accurate. The markings on the scale are easy to see, and the instructions were clear. The plastic protection sleeve is sturdy and practical. I will reserve my last star until after I get an alcohol reading, however I believe it will be fine.

The hydrometer kit from The Brew Supply was as described and delivered quickly. The kit was very well packaged and included everything I needed to test my beer. Good kit but arrived substantially damaged with graduated cylinder base being broke to the point it would not support itself when filled with liquid

Awesome little kit. Used this the other day on some beer that I was eagerly waiting to test and got a perfect reading. Easy to use with the instructions and also came in a handy storage bag. Highly recommend.PS its best to take your reading when you fill the test jar all the way to the top!
