The description says it is alcohol-free, but the ingredients on the bottle say "isopropanol", which is isopropyl alcohol. The reason this is important is because alcohol can damage the rubber suspension on the stylus. It also says it has perfume in it (who knows why) and it's unclear what that contains and what it might do to the stylus or cartridge components.I'll admit I still use the cleaner, but I'm VERY careful not to get any on the styles suspension and also that none of the stuff drips into the cartridge. I do this by holding the cartridge with the stylus facing downward and the brush with the cleaner on it facing upward, and then gently moving the stylus on the brush. Also be careful that the cleaner can pool in a liquid drop on the surface of the bush. If you have too big of a drop on there, the stylus could siphon the liquid up towards the suspension, so I make sure there is only a tiny bit of cleaner liquid, and that it is mushed into the brush a bit and not sitting in a drop on the surface.So, it does clean the stylus tip, but be careful!

Even with cleaning my records, airborne dust and moisture can add crud to my needle. This product makes quick clean-ups easy. It doesn't seem to put undue pressure on the needle suspension system. A good product.

Simple and easy to use. Does a good job cleaning the stylus and most importantly doesn't damage the stylus. Just be sure to remember to rinse off the stylus cleaner brush after each use as mentioned in the directions.

Easy to use, high quality little stylus brush. If you play older vinyl, or even a lot of newer releases.. You should definitely have a brush to clean your stylus. Especially after cleaning an album and playing it for the first time. You would be surprised to see the gunk that gets trapped on your stylus. And not only will it will make your records sound terrible, it will cause premature wear to your albums and stylus.

Really good for keeping the all important stylus clean. Easy to use. A little small like most; make sure that you clean stylus from back to front to prevent damage. Just a drop or two of the included liquid cleaner in the brush does the job.Good product.

Really easy to use. I cleaned my stylus with this cleaner and my record sounded much better. Checked under magnifying glass and stylus was clean. No visible dust or lent.

Immediately made a huge difference. I would use a gel style stylus cleaner for everyday use like a Onzow or Momila. They’re great for when it picks up lint, and this liquid and brush for periodic deep cleaning.
