This was very easy to set up.
The directions were very easy to follow. We use this in our home and appreciate the temperature from outside. It also gives the inside temperature. The back light is good also and goes off by itself when you are finished looking at it.

Great item for the money. We love it!
Good looking device. Put 5 aaa batteries in base unit and the small transmitter that goes outside and set up is automatic. Temp, humidity inside house and outside. Even gives a forecast! Great value.

Easy access to current conditions:
Mother in law loves it. She is always concerned about the weather, and this allows easy access to temperature and humidity. Just wish it was a little larger and you could keep the backlight on.

Guess I got wha I paid for
The product arrived within 24 hours of placing the order. Guess I didn't read the fine print about batteries -- the product takes AAA batteries -- 2 in remote transmitter and 3 in "home station" which may require more replacements than I'm used to. The instructions (in a great variety of languages) vaguely described how to set the product; however, did not discuss how long to wait for it to start functioning. I loaded the batteries and set it up per instructions on the afternoon I received it, and nothing... No immediate remote transmission, no accurate home station temp, no transmitter/home interface, no weather prediction. The next day (I was going to return the product if I could find instructions), the home station temp was still 3 degrees off and the time was about 10 hours off (so I reset it), but the remote temp was correct. The next day, the weather prediction graphics began to function and the time was correct. The day after that the home station temp was one degree off of two thermometers in the room (one belonging to the home HVAC thermostat and the other to another indoor/outdoor weather station which agreed with the thermostat). I can live with 1 degree off and would rather not go through the return/refund hassle. But I would not get another of this brand nor give one as a gift.

Decent/happy after 5 months use but battery life is a bit weak with some other nags...
Ordered and set up in June 2019.This review is after about 5 months use in Nov 2019.Overall, this kit does what it claims and is about what you can expect for the price. A solid 4/5 rating. This unit kit is white and there is an identical black kit available as well. I got one white and two black kit pairs instead of buying individual sensor/transmitters and only one receiver. Seemed like a better value. All the sensors and receivers are interchangeable for mixed use. You can have up to 3 sensors monitored by all the receivers together.I waited for a few months to write review. I have now changed all the batteries (after only 5 months) in both the receivers and transmitter/sensors.Here is my arrangement that seems to work fine...We have a 3300 sq ft house, 2 story, all 3 receivers are on the ground floor, one in master bath, one in kitchen, one in study. 3 sensors are one outside on patio pillar in shade, one in garage and one in upper attic.Receivers are in master bath, kitchen and study, all on ground floor.(Distances are prob avg, about 100 ft between sensors and receivers, through some walls/floor and windows.)Setup was average effort (10+ min) with some time needed for everything to sync and appear to work. (Give them a few minutes to an hour to settle in.) I labeled the sensors 1, 2 and 3 to help keep them straight on receiver channels.Issues to Consider (overall it all works for me but this may help you decide)...Overall...- Biggest gripe is the receiver units require a full setup after a battery change. Grrr! So change and reset them all at once in front of a clock and at a early time of day and month so the setup will be easiest.- Second biggest gripe is poor 5 month battery life. (When LCD begins to dim.) I rarely use the backlight. It just sits on the counter. Transmitters and receivers use batteries about the same so just change them all at once. 3 AAA batteries for the receiver/base unit and 2 AAA batteries for the transmitter/sensor unit.Transmitter Issues...- Biggest gripe is TINY LCD displays on transmitter/sensor units. Worthless. Either use a large display or just don't bother. It's mostly good for setup when choosing Channel number, C/F and reset/power status.- Cheap plastic battery door barely stays attached. Use a bit of tape to keep it secure.Receiver/Base Unit Issues...- Occasionally the outdoor (sensor driven) temp/humidity will flash indicating poor signal. Works OK though.- The Channel indicator is so tiny that it's useless.- The single mechanical button on top only triggers the backlight. I wish it changed the channel.- The touchscreen is finicky and the channel button is hard to see/read so you have to learn where it is and push a little hard to change the channel. AFAIK there is no way to make it cycle through the channels automatically.- The date display is so small it's fairly useless and it's also backwards for the U.S. (Day/Month vs Month/Day)Summary/ConclusionOverall, I just want to see the temp outside, in the garage/attic, etc. Everything else is a bonus/curse for me. I previously had a solid simple unit from Radio Shack that lasted 20 years and only showed the indoor and outdoor temp on both the receiver and the transmitter in large, easy to read numbers. It also supported three channels and worked great. It only needed batteries about every 12-18 months and they were just two AA so that was great. (The main reason I bought these replacement units was to gain the humidity reading.)Based on my use so far and after writing this review, I'm generally happy with this setup. When it dies someday however, I may try to find something closer to what I had before that is simpler and only has indoor/outdoor temp + humidity in a large readout. I could care less about wasted space on the display for time, date, cloud/sun/droplets pictures or touchscreen controls. All I really want is a basic large readout and a channel selector in a mechanical button. Depending on how long it takes for this cheap Chinese stuff to die, I'll post back again with a review update.
