Adorable and fun, but with its flaws
I enjoyed this cute story but it had a few issues.Teagan is a great character, as one of the other reviews put it, her constant word-vomit makes her kind of loveable. She was always saying the wrong thing at awkward times, and her inner monologue cracked me up! I really appreciated Rebel's man-of-few-words, strong silent sexiness as well, for the most part. I could definitely see how opposites attract in that respect. But while Teagan's word vomit was endearing, I found most of the time her best friend Quin was insufferable. Quin was also prone to word vomit, but it seemed like all she ever did was talk over or interrupt Teagan with stupid assumptions or comments. Once Quin started, Teagan could barely get a word in, even when the situation was obviously very important! Aside from one good pep talk she gave, almost every time Quin showed up and started running her mouth I wanted to strangle her!Other times, it felt like the story and character development was sacrificed a bit for the need for the dialogue and banter to be over the top. Of course I love witty banter. I understand it's supposed to be a funny story, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but there's a time and a place! For instance Teagan was having one too many funny little asides in her head when she should be distraught or focused on something else, that kind of thing. It took me out of the story sometimes.I take issue with Rebel leaving Teagan high and dry the way he did. That was insane! I could understand pumping the breaks, but I really feel like he took it too far. I really wished we could've been inside his head at that moment. The explanation he gave later fell flat to me, it didn't feel like enough of an apology in my opinion considering how awful he'd made her feel. There were a handful of times that I really wished we could have a chapter from Rebel's POV, because his behavior was sometimes inexplicable. I know that yes his behavior would be strange to Teagan and that's why we're left in the dark like she is. But it was frustrating not knowing why he would explode in anger towards his brother when it was someone else that he should've been angry with. And this bit of backstory we got only a taste of at the end, regarding a sister character, kind of came out of left field. I understand there are 2 more books, and maybe that story will be explored more in those, but I wish it could've been teased or mentioned at least more than once.Overall it was an enjoyable light read, but if the next two books are a similar style, leaving the H's behavior unexplained, I don't know that I will want read those.

Enjoyed Story wanted dads mystery resolved
Rebel is a Romantic Comedy with a suspense story simmering in the background which kept me intrigued until the end where it takes center stage.Quin and Teagan have great chemistry as friends and many times caused me to laugh out loud. Their one-liners are just so funny and light-hearted.Teagan has some emotional moments where I felt true heartache for her, but I loved her determination.Teagan and Rebel, well some moments are great and others I struggled with. However, once I knew his story I forgave and understood his silent treatment. The relationship with the brothers I enjoyed immensely and how they became attached and protective of Teagan. Now I have to admit I am unhappy with her dad's story not being resolved. I did find myself smiling at the conclusion about how Rebel stood up and took charge. This is not a college romance, it takes place over college break. There are some great passionate moments. The verbal Diahorrea between Quin and Teagan will make you laugh, cringe and fall in love with their friendship.Overall, I enjoyed this story.

Teagan's fun, spunky, word-vomit character stole the show for me!
I loved this book something hard! Teagan is one semester away from finishing college when a single phone call changes her world upside down. She's now penniless and practically homeless, but she puts on her big girl panties and looks for a job and a place to live. Teagan's fun, spunky, word-vomit character stole the show for me! She was so quirky without being over-the-top, as was her bestie, Quin. Teagan's job search was laugh-out-loud hilarious - I was gasping for breath at the laundromat! She was relentless in securing her job at Rebel Wheels, where we meet garage owner Rebel. I kinda dug his silent tough guy demeanor, because you knew there was a helluva lot going on in that gorgeous body, er, head of his. Teagan and Rebel really couldn't have been more opposite, and I was simply DYING for them to get together! I never expected the sinister twists this book took towards the end, and I almost needed Rebel to go a bit more "Officer and a Gentleman" with Teagan, but I loved these two together so much. I loved all the crap Teagan went through and still remained the fun, strong character she was with a super-quick comeback. This series continues into the next book but I got enough of a happy-for-now ending.

Not for me
I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them. This one was not for me, rich girl suddenley becomes poor after death of her father. We have a few tears spilled (as in 5 mins) and then it is all woe is me i have to find a job and earn money. She meets a guy who takes her on at his auto shop. Cue little miss look at me i am rabid and sex starved. Tries to act sassy, not funny jokes.Honestly i wanted to slap her. Her dads dead and all she does is pant heavily after a semi clad man? Who says next to nothing but she pants even harder?Honestly i gave up at 65%.Teagan was supposed to come across as fun. It just comes across like she has learning difficulties.Like i said i have read other books by this author but this one bored me. Sorry.

I loved wrecked (ship/island adventure) but I DNF wrong number
This book is 99p for a limited time so I thought I would give it a try. I have to be honest and say so far I find it hit or miss with this author. I loved wrecked (ship/island adventure) but I DNF wrong number, right guy. From what I've seen of her writing she is happy to have air heads (in my opinion) as the main female role. She made me realise I prefer them smart or nerdy in some way (more moral fibre should we say)Okay so about this book. I'll start by saying Tegan isn't the smartest cookie in the jar but I didn't find her irritating. She's strong willed and funny in places. She comes from money and a privileged background. This is the story of what happens when you lose everything overnight and have to sink/swim to survive.Rebel is the strong silent type. He isn't good at sharing and is happy to leave Tegan talking to herself. She literally stumbles into his life and luckily for her he is willing to give her a chance. This book is all from Tegan's point of view and does not have a finished ending leading you to read book two about his brother (Hellion £3.32). Although I enjoyed this book I've decided not to go on and read the next. I feel the first book has enough to help you come up with your own fairytale ending and I'm happy to move on to something else.4 stars out of 5. Its worth the read for the price especially.

Rebel..
I have to say, this book has instantly went to one of top reads! It was brilliant! If your looking for a book that has main characters who you will instantly fall in love with, for a book that has the outside characters who you love, for a book that has an intriguing story line, for a book that has attraction and passion and for a book that will have you snorting with laughter, then read this!!!Teagan & Rebel meet when Teag has to find a job after loosing everything with just one phone call! Everything! Her dad, her home, her money, it's all gone! When looking / begging for a job, she comes across Rebel who is hot as all is hot, but moody, the silent but deadly type. He owns the garage where she's decided she's going to work.It all spirals from there and i most definitely recommend you read it!!I loved it, can't wait to read the rest of the series.A massive well deserved 5 stars

A rocky start but stick with it and it's unputdownable.
This book really draws you in.I bought it from the freebie bestseller list and initially thought it was going to be another one of those books. The first chapter or so I found the writing to be a little stilted and Teagan came across as just plain spoilt and annoying. I nearly gave up on it. If you feel the same, don't give up! The story warms to its characters. So much so that by half way through 'Rebel' I'd gone on to Amazon and bought the other two books in the series.Whilst this book is undoubtedly still what I consider to be a 'trashy romance', it had a fresh approach that had me crying with laughter more than once. Rather than rely on constant physical encounters and angst ridden internal monologues, there is dialogue and comedy that bought the characters to life. Don't get me wrong, there are sexy scenes and angst but they contribute to the story line.I liked the fact that the story is told entirely from the side of the female lead. There is no hopping back and forth between him and her which can run the risk of giving too much away too early. At the risk of spoiling the ending (come on, it's a romance, you know it's going to be a happily ever after!), it was also refreshing that the story wasn't tied up with a neat bow and a wedding between two characters that have only known each other for a few months. Save that for the historical romance genre.Just one note - if you have an issue with bad language, this may not be the book for you. It is one of the key traits of two of the main characters and is almost constant. It is challenged by characters in later books but might put some readers off. I took it as it seemed to be intended, another facet of the comedy that this book is built on.

Great!
This book has you on the edge of your seat from the first chapter. I Love the twists and turns throughout. The author has some fantastic characters lined up for their own story. The witty pace and dialogue means that the story never lulls. I did find myself laughing out loud a lot. There are also some more sombre moments in the book, but those are well placed to balance the storyline. I look forward to the next book in the series!
