Start here cuz it's a size and price Kamoda Grill you'll always want, need, and keep!
2022: If you've always wondered what the fuss is about, and you truly only need to cook for 3 or 4 max, GET THIS 15" ONE for $250! It comes with everything you need to cook anything, nothing else but lump charcoal to buy, and frankly, any model smaller and you'd only be cooking for 1! The usable grill is 12", you lose one inch to the ledge it sits on, and the diffuser is 8", so you can only smoke a 3lb chuck roast, or a 4lb pork butt/roast if it sits mostly vertically, but that's as many meals as we want in a week of pulled pork or smoked beef, so all good. Whole corner of package was smashed when delivered, but it is packed so well there was no damage. It's just the two of us now, so it is really quite the minimum perfect size, cooks deliciously, and QUITE UNBELIEVABLE how little lump charcoal it uses even when smoking 12 hours straight-- holds the temp steady for, and I'm serious, 8 hours no fiddling needed, like a crock pot smoker! Absolute lazy man's smoker-- takes 10 minutes to light, throw meat on, go to work, come home, and perfect pink-ring of smoke pork butt ready for you! It would be nice to have had an 18" to 20" one, but not for $300 more for me/us. This one does great for 2, , and 3/4 if everybody really only eats the daily recommended serving/portion! Oh, and it's an awkward 65+ lbs, so not fun to move, thus not portable.Update 9/22/2023: weld a couple of washers on the side of your grill grate, makes everything a thousand times easier. If you're sick of smoked meat just use the regular lump charcoal alone, no smoke wood added, and you'll be very very happy and can eat just about anything it Cooks everyday of the week.Keep your temp 200-225 you don't have to have the diffuser plate, but I always do anyway just in case I get distracted and it sits at 2:50 or 275 for longer than I wanted, it's not black on one side. While getting to and keeping 250 in the beginning when it takes a while to get up to speed and you don't want to go over because you can't really bring it back down... You want your top vent not quite to one, and you want your bottom vent right on the two. It will hold this 200-250 temperature for 8 hours and you'll use about 10 cents worth of charcoal! (Seasoned ribs or pork loin or whatever meat you're going to put on there the night before, put it in foil or whatever and let it sit overnight before you grill it. Bring it to room temperature or not, doesn't really matter as long as you don't shock it from cold to hot as hell ... just put on meat after you light it so it all warms up together to 200/250. It'll hit your temp in about 30 minutes, and don't open or look at it till it's exactly an hour from the time you put it on. Then sprinkle it with some moisturizer like apple juice or apple cider vinegar, seal it in foil and put it back on there for another hour at 200-250. Then either open the top of the foil and let it sit in 250 to dry up a bit for about another 30 minutes, or take it out of the foil and set it all on the grill again for that 30 minutes. And that last 30 minutes you can slather it with barbecue sauce if you want to, but either way you've got Perfect ribs or pork loin.)(if I use any smoke wood at all it's from the very beginning, two or three pellets/chip and when it's gone that is more than enough smoke for me. Sometimes I don't put any smoke with it all in and I seem to even be happier)** Because it was only 300 bucks off marketplace and the family delivered it to my back porch, I bought a bigger grill. Even though I have more space to do more things, and that does come in handy when you're doing a bunch of butts for 4th of July or something, once maybe twice a year, the bigger grills don't hold their tempest steady, they eat a whole lot more charcoal, and overall I just hadn't really seen the need for all the extra trouble of getting it here and delivered, the space it takes up on my porch, and the monster amount of charcoal it goes through. You can go to a bigger grill, but don't immediately sell your small one or you will get it, you're small one does everything for three or four people effortlessly and predictably much better than the monster size. You'll really hate to be without it, and I'm trying like crazy to figure out a way to make a secure place to put on the back of the camper... Cuz it's really only maybe a hundred pounds and if you take the inner stuff out it's really very doable every now and then.

Smoke everything!!!
Wanted a big green egg but was afraid to spend that much on a grill so I got a little blue egg instead lol, works wonderfully and smokes like a charm, I have been cooking 3 or 4 nights a week on it. From pizza to turkey, brisket, steaks just about everything and the taste is so clean sense your not using lighter fluid or propane. Going to get a bigger on soon!!!
