Tekin Rock Crawler Brushed Motor 45T HD TT2114

Very disappointed. After the first run the motor went up in smoke and it wasn’t even hot. I live in a humid area so rust could have been a factor and I am also running a rather heavy rig, but I thought this would hold up given my gear ratio and Tekins reputation. I’m running a 3s lipo with stock diffs on a scx10, with a 2 speed rc4wd transmission, along with a 14t 48p pinion and 84t 48p spur gear. (very slow crawler set up and should have a good amount of torque). My 1/10 rig weighs 9lbs (which is rather heavy) but I was on flat concrete and wasn’t pushing the motor. After about 15 minutes of just driving around the motor smoked up and seized. After rebuilding motor still will not work the way I expected and doesn’t have the durability a 45t heavy duty should. Going to be talking to Amazon and Tekin about a return.This motor would probably be fine with a light weight rig with faster gearing but wouldn’t recommend for anything over 7 lbs.

Things a beast! Install in my heavily modified heavy TRX4 (almost 15lbs) had it in there for afew packs now. Its not fast but not slow either. Plenty of torque to deform C.I. closed cell foams an pitbulls when the tire get wedged! Outside of no leads will be purchased again
