The soap smells so wonderful. The smell is very relaxing. Just putting it in the bathroom, I do not need any other air freshener. The bar comes in a good size. The package is so cute that I would like to save the wrapping paper for my daughter's school work some day. The soap is high quality. It cleans well and moisturize my skin at the same time. I just couldn't find a natural bar soap like this before. It was either too dry or too creamy that it didn't clean well. My skin feels smooth after using it. It also would be a perfect gift if you don't know what to give someone on her birthday. I'll be happy to receive it anytime. Will definitely try other bars of this brand.

Well, it's certainly black. And you (and any washcloth you use, if you do) will be a nice shade of gray after using the bar. But the charcoal does seem to give it a nice gentle abrasiveness that feels pretty good. I'm not convinced the other ingredients are going to live up to the "health" promises. It says "no fragrance" on the label, but it definitely has a unique smell that sticks around a while after using it. It does not, however, smell like harsh synthesized chemicals, so that's a plus. I can't tell any difference in skin health after using it for a bit. If anything, it leaves me itchy and red, which is probably not what they are going for at all!One of the recommendations for making the bar last as long as possible is drying it after use. Seriously. I've never heard of such a thing. But at this price, I'm treating it like a gold brick. It's nice if you want the novelty of a charcoal soap bar, but probably not worth the cost for using daily.

I really like this soap and recommend it to anyone. As with any product, it isn't magical. I have to say that because recent breakouts made me desperate, abandon all reason, and start looking for a magical silver bullet product to cure my acne. I hoped it was charcoal soap. My skin improved a lot after using it for the first three weeks. But then I got another hormonal breakout so I'm back to being realistic again. Otherwise, this is truly a great bar of soap. It smells wonderful - a minty, lemongrass, astringent natural smell. I really like it and am very picky about scents. It's also *huge*! It lathers up beautifully but doesn't dissolve quickly. You should be aware that this is a black soap made of charcoal and could possibly stain white caulking. I brought this on a trip and although it never came close to leaving a stain on the wire rack that I store it on at home, when I set it down on my host's white bathtub edge it left black soap scum marks. It was just soap and it wiped right off of the porcelain, but I was really careful not to get it on the caulking so that it wouldn't stain. My husband and I both used it on that trip and he really liked this soap, too, and he has *very* sensitive skin.

I love this soap! The natural scent is divine. It is not drying so I feel it could be used by anyone. It is a very large and hard bar of soap so will last a long time. Lots of skin loving goodness packed into one bar of soap. Definitely worth the money.

I choose this bar because of the natural ingredients and because I need something gentle for my skin. I received it today and have to say it smells absolutely lovely and I am looking forward to using it. The only thing I am a little bummed about is that the listing and the bar itself says 230g/8.1 ounces but the bar I received is only 201g or 7.1 ounces. Not a huge deal but for $12 I expect a full sized bar

I had such high hopes for this soap to help and improve my skin but it made my skin break out really really bad after only 4 washes. Plus it doesn’t wash makeup off too good.

I am not a fan of this soap. It smelled good in the package, but not on my skin. It has a STRONG scent, even though charcoal is not supposed to have one, and is ONLY supposed to draw out toxins and get you really clean, but the seller informed me that they used essential oils of lemongrass and mint in this. (Which is also not stated in the description btw.) But I'm giving it 4 stars because they were SO nice enough to give me refund and they apologized so it's all good.

I just tried this soap last night, and I loved it. It was great on my skin, cleaned excellent, and left it smooth. I was so impressed I just ordered the Bamboo Charcoal.

Excellent product. I bought this soap hoping to to alleviate my oily scalp and acne problem. Over the course of three days I've noticed significant improvements.
