YC Onion Portable Slider
A very nicely crafted slider with a very high quality feel to it. Unfortunately, suffers from the same issues most of these types of tripod mounted, extendible sliders suffer; sagging when extended.The Good:SUPER nice construction. Feels like a satin-ish finish on the metal. Bubble level is accurate. Whole thing feels solid, durable, and carefully crafted.Action is super smooth, and perhaps a bit better than the cheaper version(s).Size is super portable.Comes with carrying pouch.The Bad:Sags when extended to the ends while mounted on a tripod.A bit pricey (at $160 USD) when compared to similar but lower quality versions (at $50). Both achieve about the same affect.Feet are poorly crafted and aren't straight. Threads to install feed seem poorly machined.Top screw for mounting a tripod is ⅜", which means it won't work to mount a ¼" ball head or use a ⅜" adapter to mount a larger head.
