These off-market Brother-compatible ink jet cartridges are equal to much more expensive manufacturers' replacements. The color and basic print quality are just as good and seem to last as long. There is no expiration date on the sides of the cartridges so its unknown whether they will dry out quicker.

Update, 11/16/15, since I wrote my original review, the exclamation point symbol disappeared and it has been smooth sailing ever since. I have saved more money than the original purchase price in ink with the purchase of these ink cartridges.I hesitated writing this review because I didn't understand why the exclamation point would go away on its own. And, I replaced a Yellow cartridge this evening and it spilled Yellow ink on my hand before I inserted it in my printer, but if it works, I'm way ahead in ink costs. I'm so far ahead in ink; it exceeds the original cost of the printer.Original review is below.I have an MFC-J870DW printer.I recently purchased the TS 5 PK Compatible Ink Cartridges for my Brother MFC-J870DW and my printer is currently not recognizing the Magenta cartridge. Originally, my printer recognized the TS Magenta cartridge, but in less than two weeks of use, the printer is showing an exclamation point "!" for the Magenta cartridge. The exclamation point does not give an indication of ink level in the cartridge and the printer is not telling me to replace the cartridge. All I have is an exclamation point symbol on the display referencing the Magenta cartridge. What does an explanation point mean? The printer has had minimal use and the Magenta cartridge should be good to go. This is not acceptable.Previously, I have always used genuine Brother cartridges and I've never had a problem. This is the first time I have tried something other than genuine Brother cartridges.This is a review for the TS 5 PK Compatible Ink Cartridges for Brother LC103. I do not feel comfortable leaving these cartridges in my printer and I will not purchase these again.

I have bought these cartridges about 4 times now. I use my printer everyday to print school work for my kids (they are homeschooled). I have not had any issues with these cartridges. They are easy to change out. I will keep buying.

I only give 4 stars right now because I have not used it yet, but it's nicely packaged, was a reasonable price compared to brother original brand, and appears to be a good product. Once I've used it, I will update my review.

Great product at an even better price. Started at a big name superstore and saw that the Brother ink cartridges were nearly double the price for less cartridges! We've used these for a couple of weeks now and had no problems with our Brother J870DW recognizing the cartridges; it recognized them as soon as I put them in. We've also printed several hundred pages using the ink, and not had any problems with the results. Would definitely recommend them to others, and I plan on using them again in the future.

This set is okay if you are just printing some paperwork once in a while. The color quality is very, very poor though. No matter how much I run the clean cycle on my printheads, the quality is streaky. Not recommended for more than occasional printing.

I was a little skeptical buying this product as some previously stated they had problems with the item. Worked just fine for my MFC-J475DW. Plugged right in and printed with no problem. The print did seem a tad less bold than perhaps an authentic would but for my use does not bother me one bit. I have only used the black cartridge thus far. Outstanding value in my opinion versus the premium pricing for and authentic. Will update if any problems surface.

I've used these cartridges with my Brother printer for over 3 years. They last long, give me great print quality, and have not given my printer any problems. They have proven to be fully compatible with my printer. I will continue to buy for the full life of my printer!
