Tech 21 YYZ Geddy Lee Signature SansAmp YYZ Pedal

I'm extremely pleased with this pedal. Many overdrive/distortion pedals for bass sound really good in the bedroom, so to speak, but tend to get lost in the mix when used in a band situation. This pedal cuts through nicely while retaining the low end definition that other pedals I have tried do not. The individual controls have a lot of range, which makes this pedal very versatile. I use it through the front of a bass amp, with a loud band. Get it!

I loved the sound you can get. With a Jazz Bass you can sound exactly like Geddy but also you can get some massive tones with any bass. A must for bassist.

Words will fail to describe the amazing tool this is. There are setting suggestions in the manual for multiple bassist in excellent bands which in the end will enhance your customized sound.

Great drive pedal. Love the blend knob which allows some subtle drive. Also, the design allows the drive to increase when you are really digging in. I play mostly at church and can get some really warm slightly driven tones as well as some great overdriven tones that keep the low end mud free with nice high end pop.

Gotta say that Tech 21 products always impress me, but the YYZ pedal is the exact sound I was looking for.

Pulled out my Geddy jazz bass and hook the YYZ pedal up and i was in Rush heaven.Sounds great with other basses too. It has different tones besides the geddy tone.

Pure magic, I am rediscovering my bass - an old Rickenbacker 4001, not even optimally adjusted, I have to get it done. The YYZ makes me feel freer, inspires me to take more risks, allows me to unfold my playing almost without limits, what a wonder! I'm shivering with excitement. The pedal gives an incredible boost while keeping the sound well controlled, and while keeping a warm analog vibe (not like those other cold robotic digitals). Even the overtones are much more audible. I just got it today and I have only tried it a little bit, and only on a small keyboard amp. I'll try it in my practice room on my 4x10 Ampeg, then with my band... to be continued but it starts in a fabulous way! The settings really allow you to shape, sculpt your sound, and the manual provides settings examples to make it easy at first and to understand the different types of sounds - my favourite at the moment is the "Tool" setting. The "thight" function I haven't enjoyed much so far, but I'll try it again (to be continued). The Deep Drive button on the other hand is just amazing! Anyway... I am extremely happy with my purchase.

This is my new sound. I’m literally in love with how great my bass is sounding. I’d recommend a power supply. When the blue light starts to get a little dimmer, say bye to your sound. Aside from not getting much run time from a 9v, it’s awesome! Who knew a little grit properly applied could amp up a sound so much?

Je désirais me procurer un preamp Sansamp depuis longtemps mais j’hésitais. Lorsque la série Geddy Lee Signature est apparue je me suis dit, voici le son que j'ai besoin. Et ce format pédale me permet d'alterner entre un son TRÈS POLYVALENT et mon son d'ampli plus rond. Ce mix correspond à mes besoins.N'hésitez pas. C'est une valeur sûre.P.S.
