Works for about a month and then needs to be re-applied. Smells like septic tank for a few minutes.

AWESOME
I had run out of this stuff so I needed more. It makes time between cleanings of the tank go from 1 week to about 5ish weeks. Horray!! I have a 3 gallon tank for my betta fish BTW.
