kate spade new york Hawthorne Lane Ryan Tote

Purchased as a gift for my mother in-law as she liked my kate spade Hawthorne of a different design. I compared the sizes and found them to be identical. This bag is perfect for all seasons, elegant and will hold a lot. I am able to carry my personal belongs including a sweater, flip flops and an ipad with no problem. The interior zipper pocket holds a wallet perfectly and the interior cell phone pockets are perfect for my iPhone 6 and 6 plus. As expected per the description this bag only has a hook closure on the top but I tend to keep all of my small items in a small makeup case so there is no risk of falling out.

I just received this so I guess I can't quite attest to how it wears, but I anticipate this being my new favorite bag. I got the black stripe, which alternates with a really nice creamy off white-I wouldn't say it's beige though, it's a nicer color. Very classic like all kate spades, and although I adore her leather bags, I prefer this synthetic material for heavy use-I have another in this material and it wipes off easily, great for drizzly seattle as I don't have to worry about water spots either. I'm 5'2", and the size is great-not too huge for me but plenty of room, and the handle drop is just right. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a very user friendly, not-too-extravagant designer bag!

I've gotten a ton of compliments on this bag. My only complaints are that I wish it had two sections or more pockets, because it's hard to keep organized and find things. I also wish the clasp to close the bag were a zipper or snap (like the matching wallet). It is a hook and is hard to get fastened if you only have one hand free and it doesn't close very tightly, so if it tips over, things spill out.

This is a great bag! I have the pink and cream striped one and love it so much I bought this one for fall. My only complaint on this one is the with the white stripe. It's a very bright white that seems a little out of place. I wish it were a little less stark. Other than that, I love this purse and get lot's of compliments! You can't ever go wrong with Kate Spade.

I love this bag for summer. I use it all the time. It is big enough to carry all the things you need but not too large. The only complaint I have is the straps. I wish they weren't as different of a tan than the stripes. Other than that I have zero complaints. If you buy it, you will get tons of compliments.

Over the past ten years, I have probably purchased a dozen Kate Spade bags and loved them all. This one is just okay. It is not lined inside as the bags usually are with fabric. It it left as just a plain vinyl white finish and looks like a knock-off. I even went to Nordstroms and looked at the same bag - yup, not lined inside. There is also no zippered closure, just a useless lobster claw fastener at the middle. I would expect more for a $200 bag....very disappointing.

I splurged and bought this for myself to take on vacation. I've got a Baggalini with umpteen zippered pockets. I can never find what I am looking for. I decided to go to the opposite extreme with this bag. I seemed to be the designated pack mule, so I end up with my kids sunglasses, everybody's passport, camera, book, etc. I can open this up and see what I need immediately. Probably not the most secure option, but very handy.

This bag is just right. Large enough to carry all of those added essentials we need, enough pockets to not loose everything in the bottom, so stylish and does have the ability to close. I liked that it came in several colors, green being my choice. Would have liked a sunny yellow. I wish it did come with "feet" on the bottom for protection, but that doesn't detract from the tote. Its a keeper!
