This unit converts HDMI to SDI and carries the audio. The image is clean. The audio is clean. I use mine to go from a camcorder to a video capture card. I am very impressed with the unit for price.

I've only used the converter about 5 times so far, but it's worked flawlessly up to now. It's such a relief to find a product that does the job well, and doesn't empty your bank account!

This unit is terrific for dubbing and watching old VHS tapes on a new TV with HDMI connector. Will buy again.
