Great dirt scooper for plant pots
I was expecting a big shovel like tool but was disappointed upon opening the package- it looked like a toy. But I was going to give it a try anyway. First it fits my hand well - the grip is good. When I scooped dirt from my bag of soil, it took just the right amount for the little pots that I was filling. When I was filling up bigger planter pots, I have to do multiple scoops. I was wishing at that time that whoever invented this should make different sizes- large medium small. This is more like a medium sized widget. I will buy the large one too if it gets invented. Now caveat here- I was actually just looking for a dirt scooper and this looked like it will work the first time I saw it. I have not used it as a trowel really. I am happy using it as a dirt scooper. As a scooper, it actually also directed the soil well into the pot- not a lot of "soil spillage". I also use the flat part for distributing the dirt (and the shovel-end to scoop dirt). Now as for my hands (the reason I bought it), it is very light and seemingly sturdy. I had a better grip of it than a roundish handle of a trowel. I am actually happy with this purchase. Again, i'll buy more if comes in bigger size. My only disappointment is that I did not realize there was some discounts if you by it with other products- either it was not offered when I was shopping or I just did not look. Overall, it worked the way I intended it to be.

Was sold a return item
My hand trowel is used. Came to me with the tip damaged with dirt embedded in it. For that price, it should of been new! Not happy.

Although it's easy to hold
I am an avid gardener. In fact I have a small business teaching people how to garden, designing gardens, and blogging about it. I am also new to rheumatoid arthritis, which has seriously curtailed my gardening. So, I was hoping this would get me back in the garden without long nights in pain. It has not. Although it's easy to hold, I don't think the teeth are sharp enough to do any serious digging. You can scoop loose soil for planting in pots, but not really plant, weed, or harvest in an "in ground" traditional garden. I will keep it in my tool box, but I am still looking for something stronger.

Solid overall tool!
Everyone gives it a 5 Star rating which in normal soil it probably deserves. We have a bit of rocky soil with a lot of small tree roots that make it not quite as efficient as a metal trowel with a serrated edge at times. When the soil is good though, this thing really is an awesome tool to use. I think overall you would be happy with your purchase. It does fit amazingly well in your hand.

This is fantastic,I've had problems with my hands/wrist for years and really couldn't enjoy getting outside and playing in the dirt like I enjoy doing until now with this handheld shovel it's so easy to use and works great,I was able to plant my no frost Gardiena bush with no issues. So worth the money 😁Sincerely Cindy Kitch

Great for anyone who has arthritis in their hands
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use this shovel and at how much soil it moved. It definitely contributed to my enjoyment of planting flowers, since I have arthritis in both thumbs and wrists. It was great to be able to garden without any pain.

Not for everybody's hands
Probably fine for many users, but my thumbs are arthritic and this doesn't help (rotates in hand too easily).
