Horrible design
I bought this because it was a Amazon recommended. I should have looked at this a bit more carefully.These plugs have "2 metal" units that are screwed into each other. I don't understand why anyone would design this like that.The whole point of paying extra for a banana plug is to get a better connection from the amp to the speaker. The unit that goes into the amp is screwed into a part that is separately screwed into the plastic. Why????To make this completely unusable, 3 of the plugs that I was supplied were jammed so tight into the plastic casing so that you could not remove them to fit your wire. This would have not been an issue if the metal part was 1 unit. If you try and unscrew this the top parts unscrews but than you can't unscrew the metal unit in the plastic without pliers, which I was not prepared to do. Horrible plugs.

Tricky to wire up but effective connection
Ordered a Denon CEOL-N11 DAB Audio Receiver which had spring loaded audio sockets. Since my old Receiver was connected by banana plugs wanted something similiar and these did the job. Only slight issue was tightening the speaker cable all the way down - as it's quite thick - so I could comfortably slide the plastic tube over the screws. These 2mm pins go into the hole in the socket easily and grip well.

Issues with grub screws
Reasonably well made and the cover is insulated so preventing potentially very expensive amplifier output shorts. However, initially the 2 sets of grub screws per connector seem like a good idea but with very thick speaker cable it was not possible to tighten the second set sufficiently for the insulating cover to be refitted. So the second set had to be omitted. Not a fatal flaw but annoying. If the insulating cover had a greater tolerance this would not be an issue.

No good for thick speaker wire
The design requires you to screw two grub screws into the metal body to secure the speaker wire and then slip the insulating sleeve over the top. With thick speaker wires, the grub screws protude slightly from the metal body and prevent fitting the insulating sleeve. It's fine with thin wires.
