I've only ever washed one or two hats that i've had in the past. they never held their shape so i decided i was done washing hats. With the cost of new hats these days and the number of dirty hats i have that are still in good shape, i decided it was about time i did something about it. I read a number of reviews that rated this low but saw that those reviewers may have not been using it correctly. It's not really recommended in a clothes dryer but folks were doing it and coming out with broken or warped frames. I used the dishwasher on a warm setting as my dishwasher does not have a lower setting. I don't have the option of turning off the high heat dry so made sure that I pulled the hat out as soon as it stopped the wash. there were a couple of areas where some of the soap and dirt had collected around some seams but I took a nylon brush with some warm water and brushed those away before the hat dried. I then put the hat back in the hat washer and left it on the counter for a couple of days to allow it to dry completely. The hat came out clean and retain it's original shape. The hat washer itself had no warping or broken pieces. It worked perfectly. If you follow directions, treat it with care and caution and don't use high heat or a dryer that throws it around, you should have no issues. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking to purchase a hat washer.

This is a great product that is doing what it's supposed to do. The instructions that come with the rack clearly say do NOT place in a washing machine. I'm using it in my dishwasher. The reviews saying it was destroyed in a washing machine are from people who did not follow the instructions. You may, possibly get away with using it in a front load washing machine IF there's no other clothes in with it and the max level of water is used. I do have to strap down the back of my caps to prevent the high pressure water spray of my dishwasher from blasting my caps out of position. Just follow the instructions and you will be pleased.

-Great product. I bought a new Samsung washer and dryer and using this product makes it easy to wash my caps. Me and my kids all play tennis and wear caps during this hot summer in PA. Hand washing caps is not my idea of fun after 2 - 3 hours of tennis. All I do is pop the caps in this" hat washer" , set the washer to delicate wash and viola!. I did not experience the caps coming out of this product like some reviewers did. I have used it 6 times and so far so good. -the product is made of plastic btw and it is flexible. It did not scratch my washer or dryer which was my concern at first especially with my new washer and dryer. I ordered the other competitor as well to compare it ( Evelots Washing Machine and Dishwasher Hat Visor Cleaner, Set of 3 ) and I like both. Evelots' was a bit cheaper since it comes in 3s but I feel like XQXA Hat Washers was somewhat sturdier.

My hats come out of the wash looking like new! I can't believe how well this thing works. I used to throw hats in the wash and their shape ruined and were wrinkly and shrunk. Not with these washer frames. I've been using it for two months and wash half dozen hats to perfection. Instead of throwing sweated up, grungy hats in the garbage ... wash em and they look like new. Caveat .... when using in dishwasher got a lot of debris, soap particles left on hat after. Instead I throw into my front load washer, but put the hat/frame into a garment bag (see pic) that my wife uses to wash her unmentionables. The one time I tried front load without using bag the frame got a little twisted in shape. I'm getting a lot more mileage out of hats these days!

Several other reviews stated their orders had arrived damaged or were broken when attempting to place the hat within. I must have been lucky because I didn't experience any problems - washed the hat in my dishwasher and it came out very clean. Buckles at the back strap may eventually rust and stain the cap but that's not a result of the product itself. My only recommendations to the company are to add a little more info about the proper way to open the cap cleaner to prevent a user from accidentally breaking the plastic in an incorrect attempt to open the 2 pieces. The hinge and the opening clasp are hard to recognize and at a glance actually appear the same. Also, there are VERY limited instructions about how to wash in a dishwasher - would have been nice to address the amount and type of detergent to use to prevent too many suds. I'm not in the habit of washing anything but dishes and glasses in my dishwasher. Still not sure if actual dishwasher soap is usable - I used a limited amount of fabric no-suds detergent and oxygen brightener.

The first time I used this product, I tried it in our LG sidekick small load washer that is below our front load washer. Once the cycle was completed, I pulled out the hat washer to find that it had been completely destroyed. I guess during the spin cycle the it had rubbed against the sidewall and tore it apart. The 2nd time I put it in the dishwasher and it worked much better. If you are going to use this product, I highly recommend just using it in the dishwasher and not trying your luck with small load washing machines.

My husband says this is the best thing I've ever bought him. HAHA!! he still has these 4 years later. they fit regular sized hats, snapbacks & flat bills, the build quality is amazing for the price. the color was black as stated in the description. it gets his hats clean and looking new. just put the hat in the dishwasher and let the dishwater do the rest. if he ever needs replacements I know where to go.

Seeing I'm bald I wear a range of baseball caps, often. The ones I wear most get dirty.. and tried to wash them before but the shape would be gone. This solves the problem, leaving your caps in the original shape and cleaning your caps directly in the washing machine. Love it.

Tried it for the first time today. Used the dishwasher, did two hats. One was a light coloured hat that was sweat stained and I could see immediately how clean it was. Have them sitting on top of the clothes dryer drying while I dry other laundry, the heat will help dry them, still in the frames. My hubby will be very happy as the light one is his favourite hat. Wish I’d known about these earlier.
