I purchased this reel based to what the seller wrote.It's OK but my 2YONGZHI Bulnt Fishing Reels reels are very much smooth to me.I cast fine but the spool being plain dark black just also makes it look cheaper.Another confusing thing is the reel is called YONGZHI bit on the body and under the mounting sear it says SOUGAYILANG,I have 2 of the SOUGAYILANG reels and they for sure are keepers.OK the YONGZHI on Amazon calls it Aktaka.Last season I purchased a Aktaka fishing rod and I pulled in many heavy blues here in Atlantic City but that rod is no longer made.So there you go.Two different reels with 2 different names.Maybe i'll her used to it but I have to be honest,it's not as smooth as thee SOUGAYILANG.I gave it 5 stars because it is built well but just don't feel right to mePS: For the price,it can't be beat.Built well. $21.99

The reel has performed exceptionally well on bass I have caught the last couple of days.. very smooth and quiet can cast a mile. I have it with 30# braid and i have no issuesI post full review for YouTube and Instagram

Just got my replacement spinning reel from Akataka because first one was defective. (I guess it can happen to any brand of reel). The replacement spinning reel that I got works with no flaws and it seems that is made to high standards! This company cares about its good image with customers because they have replaced my first reel despite the fact, that I have told them that I had already shipped my defective one back to Amazon. I'm happy customer again with this company!

Overall great product. Using 8lb flouro and it has stood up to the test of some large walleye. Drag controls are great smooth reeling. Only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because I want to see if it will last more then one or 2 seasons

Great reel for the money. Operates smoothly. My issue is the description says ultra lite which it is not. I bought the 2000 series and it is much larger than an ultra lite.

The reel came in great as describe and is fun to work with. I love the smooth action and ease of handling when it comes to casting far into the water and it's quality of build exceeded my expectations given how much it costed. This is something I would recommend to a friend or family member who loves fishing.

I haven’t used it yet but I can see that it’s well constructed and with 10 + 1 bearings super smooth. It’s worth a lot more then I paid. I recommend it to any one looking for a great value.

Reel works smoothly and would say it's mad with high quality parts. For the price it's a great bargain.
