Bought this Tama Superstar Classic 7-piece maple set and it sounds better than I expected. Had to change the batter heads to Remo pinstripes though since I like to have a lot of attack sound. The maple shells give it a nice warm (and loud) sound. Would prefer to have longer legs for the 14" floor tom as I want it the same level as my snare drum, which sits just above the height of the bass drum hoop. But I can manage with it being a little lower. The star mounts gives the drums a less "choked" sound since the toms are "floating" on the mount. Didn't come with hardware when I bought this. But I have since added some stands from the Tama Star hardware lineup as well as some Road Pro stands.
