Piece of junk. Vents were falling out when I tried to adjust them and the temp with ice and freezing the filter was a sad 86 in a 88 degree room.

If it doesn't work for you it's probably because you live in an area with high humidity. It's a mini swamp cooler and they only work under arid conditions. I live in the southwest so it's working for me.

This is a perfect little personal cooler. Well worth the money and so easy to use. Took about 2 min once I received it to plug it in and start feeling cool air.Read everything about it BEFORE you purchase so you will know exactly what you are buying. This IS NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER, it is a fan cooling system that is for personal use. Not to cool your whole house.Mine sits on my kitchen counter so the kitchen is cool while I’m cooking meals in our high temperatures outside. Works like a charm!! Today I’m baking and this little cooler fan will be perfect to run while I have the oven on.Yes it’s plastic, no, it’s not metal, yes you add water, yes it has to be plugged in when using....saying all that I still don’t see an issue with this cute little humidifier/cooling fan.If you follow complete directions you will have no problems.I can’t tell you enough times how happy I am that I purchased this. You will be also.

Small, fits on my desk, and has a footprint. I expected that so, that's not an issue per se. All of these lil swampcoolers are obnoxiously overpriced. I wouldn't mind if I believed workers making them were paid a living wage. I doubt it, so the price is offensive to me. Performance: 3-4 feet cooling range? HAH! try less than 10 inches from the vent. You have to turn the unit to aim it laterally. Vent is kinda flimsy and will likely wear out too soon. 10 minutes in, it measures at 79˚F. If you want a full foot from it and for at least 40 minutes, use ice cold water with ice cubes and wet down then freeze the filter unit for at least 40'. Don't let it get near your trackpad or mouse... they'll stop working. I'm desperate to cool my AC-less office, but TBH, I wouldn't buy this again. I'll cough up the $500 for a legit portable AC unit that sits on the floor.

I liked that it’s a fan like the bio says.Cooling fan? Not really... powerful fan speed somewhat. I did what the instructions told me to do freeze the filter and add ice water to make it run at max power but it still feels like room temperature just being blown on you.It may feel different if you were sitting outside in 102 degree weather having this fan put on your face. But even doing work on my computer I don’t see a difference between a regular fan vs this one.Worth buying? Yeah maybe if sale point was 19.99 but anything over that just don’t bother.

UPDATE: the seller was quick to get in touch after I left the review, apologized for the issue with the product, said they were switching to a new manufacturer, and offered a refund. so hopefully anyone buying this in the future won't have the issues I experienced, and the customer service was great.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I work from home mostly, and wanted to avoid buying an air conditioner so I thought this product would keep me cool enough. Initially it was ok, not very powerful of a fan, but it ran fairly quietly so I was ok with that. The fan also turns off if not level, which is a bit annoying but I could live with that. Unfortunately, it only worked for 2 weeks before it wouldn't turn on. Thinking this may be due to the usb plug not in all the way (although it seemed solidly in), I pulled the cord out and attempted to put it back in. When I did so, the entry point fell into the fan casing, meaning I now have a very expensive paperweight. Spend your money elsewhere!

It has two cooling features. It can do a fine mist in the unit and when it blows on it, of course you don't feel the moisture but you feel cool air coming out of it. Then there is a fabric grill or radiator. I wet that and put it in the freezer overnight and it just makes the air coming out so much cooler. It is for cooling off at your desk though, not a whole room. But for the money, it's your own personal "Swamp Cooler" or chiller. and it just plugs into a USB plug. How convenient is that? There are 2 modes each one with 3 speeds (slow med and fast) Mode 1 is with Mist, Mode 2 is no mist. Like I said the mist is inside the chamber so I don't feel any humidity. Use clean filtered water though.

Don't waste your money! It worked well for maybe a week and then all of a sudden it strated shutting off after 10-20 seconds and would never stay on!!
