The German Shepherd Today

It is dated, and the photos are blurry and quite out of date. Had a lot of information for breeders, which I'm not, but to me was still out of date.

This is a great book... IF you are planning to show and breed your GSD. On the other hand, if you want to know more about GSD's as pets and companions there are better books out there. For example, "German Shepherd for Dummies".The breed history is covered well as is everything this book covers... but again this book's audience are the breeders and those showing their dogs in the conformation ring.

Although a bit dated, this book taught me an incredible amount German Shepherd Dogs - the breed in general, as well as its history in the world of showing (AKC and Seiger) and as working dogs.

Great read but kind of dated. A lot of the book isn't really applicable to someone than isn't going to be breeding these dogs.

Wonderful beginners book to research whether someone would like to purchase a German Shepherd Dog or not

Intricate read. Put your brain in gear and learn!! I'm a GSD junkie and it doesn't get any better than this. The only read I found as challenging was the official 911 Report. If you love GSD's buy it!!

Constantly reading and rereading each chapter and learning something new. Any person considering bringing a GSD into their family should read this. Excellent source of information.
