Professional contractor review. High quality product. Good glue. No problems with this product. Trims well. Some rolls seem to have more splices than others but it could just be my imagination. I notice it more when the splices end up too close to a corner and that may be coincidental.

Great product of you do wood working. This edge gives any project a professional finish. You can stain it or paint it and never know it is not.psrt of the original wood price which is great. I used it to on prices I refinished as well as some cabinets I build with furniture grade plywood. Love this stuff. Excellent price for what you get.

This is a great way to dress up plywood edges, but there are a few things you should do to make installation easier and cleaner. 1) Leave a small amount overhanging the edge. As you adhere this down the length of the board, it will pull a little. If you start flush with the edge, you'll end up with a gap. It's easy to trim later. 2) Be mindful that this can shift as you install it, so use your fingers as a guide to keep it from hanging over the edges too much. BUT, be careful not to move your hand too quickly as this will slice your thumb or finger open. Imagine the worst paper cut ever...now dump some splinters into it. 3) Once it's installed, it will need to be sanded to be flush with the edges. It's just a hair wider than the plywood it's for (depending on your plywood supplier). The problem is that sanding it right away will cause the small amount of excess glue to gum your sanding pad, then heat up and reapply this mass to the side of the wood you plan to finish. Oops...say goodbye to staining options! So, before you sand, use a razor or box cutter to run down that beat of glue and remove as much as possible before sanding. Also, if you sand at an angle and keep the pad from laying flat on the finishing surface, it will reduce the potential for glue spreading. 4) Finishing the leading and trailing edge is very easy. Use a box cutter to score the tape, bend it over the edge and it should snap. Then a quick sanding should make it perfectly flush. It's easy to install. Easy to stain. Makes the use of plywood for finished products much easier. This is just a great product that, with just a little practice, offers a fool-proof solution. Oh yeah, TURN OFF THE STEAM on your iron if that's what you're using!

Worked beautifully for exposed end of plywood in cabinetry. Once stained, it looks remarkably like solid wood. Very easy to apply and appears durable. Don't be shy about the heat.

Oh man does this edging work. I cut it back with a razor and not any fancy tool. Iron's on perfectly. I rolled it afterwards and as I went just to make sure. I ordered a few more rolls.

For three years, my bed frame has been bothering me because the edges were ugly. I bought this product, and I loooove the result! It’s easy to install and cut, and you just need to apply your varnish—no one will ever notice the difference between the two types of wood!

I have used this on a project at home to finish the edge on a few pieces of birch plywood used to make a corner sitting area in the kitchen. Easy to apply using a hot iron and the glue adhesion is great. finished it off with a white stain and clear satin. matches perfectly.

I am working on creating an over the fridge cabinet. I bought a 4x8 cabinet grade birch plywood sheet from a big box store. It was ripped in half at the store so I have 2-2x8 sheets with unfinished edges. Originally, I was going to affix 1x2 pine trim to the edges to finish it off, but realized that I didn’t have enough space around the new fridge cabinet to accommodate the extra inches of width it would create. I thought about it and figured wood veneer banding would work well and save me some inches of space. This stuff came in a day. And went on like a dream. I read one of the reviews that said the 3/4” wouldn’t work on 3/4” material but I applied it to 3/4” birch ply and it was wide enough for me. I rolled it out and taped it in place about every 6” with painter’s tape. Then I heated up my iron ( no steam) and started to apply the banding to the edge of the plywood. I found that the iron didn’t seem hot enough, so I got out my heat gun and tried that instead. I worked about 2-3” at a time and used a clean metal paint scraper to really affix it in place. I found that I really had to pay attention to the edges the most to get them firmly stuck down. I took a star off because the seams aren’t the greatest. They don’t stick down seamlessly and so far I have one seam that was just two straight pieces overlapped so I had to cut it out. Thankfully, it was close to the end of a length that I was using and didn’t create a lot of waste. Just need to sand and paint, now.
