An excellent DAC
I managed to misplace my DAC for my Pixel 2 XL some time ago. It was a bit sad because I knew I'd need another one since I tend to favor wired instead of wireless headphones still. This being said, when I finally broke-down and ordered one, I chose this one. And I've been impressed by the results so far.I've used it straight from my phone, and even plugged an amplifier in-line with it, and this DAC most certainly does NOT disappoint. It's just as sturdy as the Pixel DAC that came with the phone. Would a braided cable be stronger? Sure, but you're only talking about a 3" long product to begin with, and I haven't found any of those on the market yet, otherwise I'd probably jump on the opportunity.10/10 would buy again.

Sound quality is good, but it died within a few hours
The little time I had with this device, the sound quality was good. It solved my computer's problem of line noise in the 3.5mm output by using a USB-c instead. When no audio is playing, it is completely quiet with no hiss.Unfortunately, the device stopped working very quickly (within hours). At some point my computer stopped recognizing it and from that moment on none of the devices that would previously detect it just fine would work with it anymore.

Dangerous Overheating
What a disaster. I went to sleep with my headphones in attached to this. I woke up and my Pixel 3 was HOT, especially the USB C area. I figured maybe it was because it was under the covers but in subsequent use it continued to get to a dangerous level of heat and it drained the battery way more we quickly than normal. Proceed with caution!

My favorite headphones sound great!
I finally had to give up my phone's 3.5mm audio jack, but thanks to this I get to keep using my favorite headphones. Sound quality is great, and the headphones I've tried with buttons (play/pause, forward, back) work too.My only (minor) complaints:The unit I received came with a scratch in the black finish; I'm sure I'll do worse before I'm done. When I use it with a pair of powered noise-cancelling headphones, there's a soft rhythmic clicking in the audio. It's not noticeable when listening to music and it goes away when I switch off the power, so not strictly this product's fault.

It works well except for one critical flaw
This dongle works well with Oneplus 7 Pro. The sound quality is pleasing to my ears, and coming from LG V20 which has dedicated DAC, so if you are using a budget earphone like me (~$30), you're gonna be fine. On the other hand, the one critical flaw I mentioned in the title may or may not be the fault of the manufacturer of the dongle, but here it is. I use these two music apps, USB Audio Player PRO and Spotify. When I first plug in the dongle to my Oneplus 7 Pro, it asks me would I allow USB Audio Player PRO app to access the dongle. When I tap confirm and listen to music and switch to Spotify, as soon as I start playing music on Spotify, the phone freezes and crashes and I have to manually reboot the device.

You can do better
I paid almost 30 bucks couple of months ago with taxes when it was around $25and now it only produces sound from one side. plus the dac gets too warm.. stay away from this

Works with one + phone
Transmits sound to my headphones which is good, but it also survives my pocket.Cable is strong enough to survive 2-3 months in my pocket as I walk to work. (Sadly other not to be named "official" cables could not). I am very happy with it.I hope I can report 9-12 months later the same unit is still working.(I also hope in 9-12 months I can work from home.. walking sucks)

May not fit your phone perfectly
The USB C spec is pretty standEd yet this product consistently fell out of my Pixel 2. I compared the fitment with a Google DAC and the Google one stayed noticeably better.
