I expected a pretty dinky plant to arrive given the pot size
My Honeycomb Butterfly Bush arrived two days Ahead of schedule(surprise #1 !)!! I expected a pretty dinky plant to arrive given the pot size, description,Price, and history with many other mail order plants from different companies. The plant I received is not only right at a foot tall at highest point, but it is Double branched (surprise #2!) instead of a single sad little stem! I checked the bottom of the pot and saw several little roots peaking out of the drainage holes(surprise #3!) which tells Me that this company takes time to insure the success of their products!! My Only regret is not ordering a second one for my BFF's birthday present at the time I ordered mine bc now they are showing that they are out of stock: ( I doubt this awesome baby plant was a fluke, and will say with confidence, this is a company you can be assured to get all or More than your money's worth from-order with confidence!!!

Buyer beware
I ordered this last summer and planted right away, the bush was very small when received and did not grow full in size with only a few buds throughout the season so I assumed over maturity it would start to develop but sadly it did not! We did not have much of a winter here in Rochester and barely any snow at all so that could not have killed the bush plus I had mulched and fertilized the bush for protection just in case. I have been waiting since April when our spring season started to look for growth but here it is June and no signs at all for regrowth, the bush has died and no way to reform it. I am not pleased at all about this and is very hard to find a yellow butterfly bush and the seller only warranty the bush for 30 days which is not much of a warranty at all, one couldn't possibly know within 30 days of any future problems...buyer beware, make sure to purchase your plants from a reputable seller.

Awesome yellow flowers, and plenty of them.
Cant say enough good about this bush! It is now 4ft wide, and 4ft tall, with blooms all over. Pulling in a lot of butterflys and other flower lovers. The yellow is different from most of the other bushes that I have. I did add a little lime and rose fertilizer when planting, and kept it watered about every 3 days initially, but we did get a lot of rain this year so far. It has far outdone other bushes that I planted at the same time.

Honeycomb Butterfly plant arrived in perfect condition
The Honeycomb Butterfly plant arrived in perfect condition via FedEx. Moistened shredded newspaper was wrapped at the base of the small plant to keep the soil moist and the 3" pot was wrapped in newspaper to cushion the trip. No soil was disrupted. I planted it immediately in new soil in a small patio planter and fertilized using Miraclegrow, keeping it out of sunlight for the first week as the directions recommended. The plant has taken off, is about a foot tall, & has grown many shoots and looks like it's off to a good start. I am very impressed with the Colonial Creek Farm Nursery's plants and shipping.8/7/15: Update-The butterfly bush has grown in two months to approximately 3 ft. tall by 4 ft. wide with about 12 branches full of buds. I waited with baited breath to see whether the first flowerbud would truly be yellow when it opened. It turns out they are a beautiful honey color. I never thought this bush would produce blooms until 2016. I can't believe this small plant that arrived in a FedEx box in June is already a bush full of buds waiting to blossom.

Arrived as small little thing but grew to be 3 ...
Arrived as small little thing but grew to be 3 ft tall in its first season. Plant facing south doing well with lots of flowers. Plant facing west also doing ok but ended up with weird red fungus which I got rid of. Not sure if its normal for the leaves to turn light green/white-ish in the fall, but stay tuned to see how they do through the winter.
