The saga continues ....
Again I couldn't wait for the next installment - especially as the saga is reaching its final novel. However, the first 152 pages are taken up with a game of old fashioned 'cat and mouse' type chase between Laura Calder, and two rather old fashioned suitors. A bit disappointing as having reached page 152 one can almost forget the Triple C - as its hardly mentioned. The rest of the book really concentrates on Laura's selection of her 'mate', and very little 'ranch business' included. The usual 'villan' is introduced, with the 'expected tragic results' (Logan is very quickly 'dispatched'). Chase is portrayed as an extremely youthful 80 year old. Jessy's relationship continues. Trey and Quint just about feature. Difficult to 'date', but the mention of cellphones possibly gives some clues as to the period this is supposed to take place in.
