Car Volvo,52000miles Reason for use occasional "hiccup" when running .I think this additive causes then fuel to burn at an increased temperature to clean the deposits. I put it in as recommended , full tank and then went on a 200 mile motorway run . Everything was ok but just before the end of the journey the check engine light came on. Went to a dealership and the fault was a failed turbo overheat sensor . However the car is running fine now so I think I made the right choice. But possibly would not have used it for such a journey . The turbo sensor fault could be coincidental .
