Excellent Product and Service (Playa del Carmen)
I purchased a data only (3GB) prepaid nano SIM card for use during a family vacation to Play del Carmen in February of 2016. I bought the SIM card at the very last minute (it was delivered the day before we were leaving), and I was a little bit concerned that there may be issues in having it activated in time. The SIM card came in an opened Telcel SIM card package. I assume it was opened in order to be pre-activated. The package had a label affixed to it with the telephone number (I received a 722 area code - I believe most of their cards are 55 or 77 area codes. This caused a little bit of confusion during activation). Also in the envelope is a card with activation and refill instruction card. (Pro-tip: take a picture of this card, front and back, with your phone, so you have access to it on your trip - it has APN settings, which you may need to manually input into your phone's settings [I didn't], and also instructions for refilling your SIM card if you need to). After opening the card, I went to the activation website, where you have to enter a few key pieces of information, including: name, e-mail address, Amazon order number, telephone number from your new Telcel SIM card, and arrival date in Mexico. One point of confusion: the Telcel phone number field says it should start with area code 55 or 77, but I got a card with area code 722. After a few e-mails exchanged with customer support (almost instant response), the issue was clarified, and I was issued some minutes and SMS for use in Mexico for the confusion. Fantastic customer service. They also assured me that the SIM would be activated in time for our next-day departure. I waited about an hour, then swapped SIM cards and saw my phone roaming on ATT, so I was satisfied that the SIM card was activated. I packed it up and got ready to leave for Mexico the next morning.Shortly after taking off, I swapped the SIM card into phone while in flight. As soon as we landed, I turned off airplane mode, and had full strength LTE signal on Telcel's network. I reset my data usage meter so I could keep track of my usage while on our trip, then ran a couple of speed tests. I also ran a few more throughout the trip. While on LTE, I was getting between 8-16 Mbps down, not bad. We had LTE coverage the entire ride from the Cancun airport to our resort in Play del Carmen. When we got there, we were informed that the resort WiFi was down, and there was no internet access throughout the resort. No problem! I was able to tether all of our devices to my phone without any trouble. On the beach and poolside service would fluctuate between LTE and HSPA+, but it was more than sufficient for our uses (music streaming, WhatsApp messaging and calls, and casual browsing). By the end of the week, I had used 2.1 GB, with plenty left to use at the airport. I probably could have gotten away with the 1.5 GB package and been a little bit more conscious of my family's data use, but to me, it was worth the extra money to not have to worry about it.As soon as we took off from Mexico, I swapped back my US SIM card, and put the Telcel SIM card in a safe place. I will definitely be using it again for future trips! All in all - great product and great customer service. Highly recommended.

Excellent Product. Excellent Service Before and After the Sale. Highly Recommend over Verizon's Limited International Plans.
I wanted to write a quick review of anyone considering going with this product from this company. The 'skinny', I highly recommend it! I recently took a trip to Cancun Mexico with my wife and wanted to avoid all of the high price international fees and packages Verizon offers while being completely free to use my mobile devices as I do here at home in the states. Enter the pre-paid SIM cards. Both my wife and I have Verizon Wireless and both have the new Samsung Galaxy S6. After searching out alternatives to Verizon's high-priced, short term and lousy coverage abroad based plans I discovered this package on Amazon.I emailed the owner, Vincent who not only answered my questions and emails quickly and professionally, but also made sure while I was on my trip to make sure everything was working out ok for me which it did. For those non-tech junkies out there, as of February the US mandadted thats newer phones (read any 4G phone on Verizon) be globally unlocked. What this means is you can replace the Verizon SIM card with a foreign carriers SIM card and use it at your destination like you are a local. Telcel has great coverage around the hotel district in Cancun. Both my wife and I actually had a very strong 4G signal with download and upload speeds (30+ Mbps Down and 20+ Upload) similar if not better than local Verizon Wireless coverage here at home.I simply replaced the SIM upon touchdown of our flight and enjoyed the data coverage throughout our trip till we returned. Because I had the convenience I normally get travelling abroad I actually burned through my 3GB of data on the last data and the refill process was extremely simple, quick and straightforward. AND Vincent was always there if I had questions. I don't normally write reviews on Amazon, but I felt this particular product and my experience could help others enjoy the freedom of using your device abroad like you are accustomed to here at home. Sounds silly but it was a 'freeing' experience being able to go about my vacation as I wanted to without leaving the convenience of an always on, always there for you mobile experience we normally have. I hope this review helps some folks on the fence.I attached my Speedtest I took upon arrival at the airport.

The SIM worked. The seller was a big help with my questions.
The only complaint is that Telcel Mexico's service was not the best and I couldn't have used all that data if I tried. That's not the fault of the SIM or the vendor, of course. I probably didn't need that much data.AT&T wanted insane amounts of money for data service.I could have used a bit more details about how to get things started such. There is a whole lot I'd like to know that is obvious to some people but not to those of us who are just getting started.

Perhaps a little more expensive than a SIM from the Telcel store, but absolutely worth it!
I bought one of these for a sailing trip from Puerto Vallarta to Manzanillo. Coverage along the coast was better than I expected. In the past, when I've been in PV I have bought a SIM at the main Telcel store in the mall. This way saves lots of time and hassle. I got great customer service when I needed a refill.
