Players each have £500 to spend at the beginning of the game and 225 Antiques cards allow players to each select their three purchases. Next, 39 Auction Event cards, together with the Bargain Hunter's Dice and the Auction Dice, dictate the run of the auction along the usual "going, going, gone" lines. This is when the fun really begins--be prepared to ditch usual family and friend loyalties, as you go all out to get your profits as high as possible and maximise others' losses. Tried it out with 3 friends and it's pretty easy to get the hang of.Each person/team selects 3 antiques from 3 different valuation categories by looking at the various cards displayed on the board - like looking round an antique shop. You can aim to reduce the price paid by rolling one of dice a number of times depending on it's price range.Once this part of the game is done all the unused cards are removed and it's time for the auction. Each pleayer/team has also been delt one card which can be played to influence the price of the antique, it can be played against another team - say to halve the opening bid, or on your own sale item to double the opening bid.The first player/team places their item for sale card on the board face down revealing the opening bid price. That team then roll another dice to try and increase the selling price, the dice is continued to be rolled until GOING has been thrown twice. Then switching to a final dice it's a last chance to keep increasing the price until GONE has been thrown. The process is repeated for each team and antique bought. At the end you tot up on the score pad whose made the most profit.
