I ordered 4 bottles of Redsaff Saffron, kept two for myself and two as a gift for my mother who is a Safffron connisseur. The jars came in a very beautiful red satin pouch, the quality is absolutely brilliant and addicting especially for health buffs. I tried different Saffron brands but in terms of its purity there is no other saffron brand that can come close to Redsaff Afghan Saffron. The stigmas are long and the color deep, deep red/burgundy which leaves a very intense gold residue after soaked with hot water and or chewed. When I opened the jar the smell was potent and pleasant which indicates it's freshness.There are some other saffron brands on Amazon which are cheaper but, again, the qualities are not comparable to Redsaff Afghan Saffron.If you're someone like me who is looking for quality products specially Herbal products then this brand is what I recommend for Saffron.You won't regret it :)

WOW. first of all, 3 grams of Saffron is a LOT of saffron...if you're like me, buying this in the grocery store, you're probably used to getting about half a gram wrapped in paper inside a glass jar for around $10. This is a golfball sized wad of saffron, it is extremely vibrant and pungent! Fantastic color and flavor. Solid glass jar with a tight fitting glass lid/seal. wrapped in an unnecessary red bag...but really if you know a cook this would actually make a nice gift!

My search has ended. This is the greatest Saffron I have ever found. I've been doing many comparisons recently and I have found Kingdom Quality Afghan Saffron by far and away to be the freshest, most flavorful and greatest volume of threads I have found anywhere. I wish I hadn't wasted money on the others I tried. This is worth every dime. And, there is a very nice quantity of saffron threads making it a great value too.

This is truly the real saffron and not a colored fake one that i have seen before this saffron when placed in water gives off a deep yellow color and the flavor is very unique the taste has a hint of spice not overly strong but very noticeable. I have placed a few maybe 7-10 strings in rice while the water is boiling which when completed gives a savory and delicious taste and my grandkids love it. I have also placed a few of the strings same amount in boiling water for mashed potatoes and i will tell you Not that the water is such a deep hew yellow and when mashing the potatoes the out come is a beautiful and flavorful dish. I have even tried it when making gravy and even that is delicious and unique tasting. I have yet to try it as a tea but plan on doing so very soon. I will keep this Afgan Saffron in my cupboard for continue use. LOVE , LOVE , LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I've never tried saffron before and wanted to give my 90yo Italian grandma something she'd actually use and I know she could never bring herself to spend so much in a single spice. No one in the family had any idea what it even tasted like. It arrived on time, in a heavy packaging ( i appreciate that, as it feels more expensive and higher quality) we sampled a single thread to experience the unique flavor( whether or not you like the flavor is up to you). We did further research to see how it was supposed to taste, which our taste -test experiences DID match for the most part. Apparently it's recommended to soak in white wine before cooking which we have yet to do. We still have not officially me a recipe with it but everything seems to be working out.

I purchased Royal Quality Afghan Saffron Threads for a Chicken, Andouille Sausage and Shrimp Paella I was making. Not only was the Saffron excellent (taste and color), but everything surrounding this order was well above expectations. Well packed, delivered as promised, nice reusable container placed in a red velvet pouch and a shipping and follow up email from the CEO, Ramin Mohebi. IMHO, this sets a very high standard for all Amazon sellers in the Marketplace. In every way possible, buying this Saffron will impress you! BTW the Paella was restaurant quality delicious...

I wanted to try saffron for the appetite suppressant qualities it is supposed to have, that didn't work out for me, but the saffron has definitely improved my mood. I chose to use this so I knew what I was getting, so far I love it...I use between 14 to 15 threads with a tiny pinch of raw sugar and hot water. The color is vibrant, the taste is pleasant. I make my saffron at the same time I make my morning coffee. If you are going to be using it for anything other than cooking I would suggest doing your research before making that decision for yourself. The amount of threads I use is the maximum you should take, just an fyi

This product has very intense color. However, there are not smell nor taste. I will not buy again.
