Yowza Fitness Jupiter Plus Cardio Sure Training Series Elliptical Trainer Machine

I'm very happy with this. This is perfect for home. It is heavy duty and built like a tank. The intensity is adjustable and the stride is adjusted by the "motion" buttons. The stride goes from generally flat to climbing like a stepper machine. Built in programming is more than adequate, Program 10 allows for 5 user custom programs. You can program each minute with any combination of motion and intensity. Each of these can be up to 60 minutes. This is really a nice feature. Once custom programming is done it is in the memory for future use. You can workout without making adjustments as you go. I have used elliptical machines at the gym. They are of course much better, but this machine equals the workout and I do not miss the gym machines.I purchased this directly from Amazon. I could have purchased directly from Yowza in Florida and save over $100 in tax. I chose Amazon for 2 important reasons- Amazons return policy and prime shipping. Shipping form Florida to NY would have taken about 5 business days. Amazon shipped in 2 days. As for returns, I was concerned since I purchased this machine without trying it. I spoke to a salesman at Yowza asking what it would cost to return if I did not like the machine. He said about 2 to 3 hundred dollars. Yowza has a 20% restocking fee. To me it was a no brainer to just get it from Amazon.Another important note about shipping. Amazon allows you to pick the delivery day with a 4 hour window of your choice. This was very nice except the private freight driver delivered mine 2 hours past that window.For those who are concerned about lift gate service Amazon approves this on the freight invoice. They also approve "inside" delivery. The driver put mine in the garage but I could have asked him to bring it in the front door. I didn't know this until after I read the freight bill.Unpacking. Wow, this was tough. First of all I am an old guy and I did this alone. The box is almost six feet long. The machine is in sections but the base is heavy. After removing everything else I had to turn the box on its side and edge out the base. You don't destroy the box in case you need to return this. The base has wheels only after assembly. If I assembled this in the garage I could not have gotten into the house. I used furniture sliders to get this into my workout room where assembly took place. Assembly took about 2 hours and was difficult working alone. Two people would have made this much easier. This comes with a printed manual but instructions are drawings. I suggest you go to Yowza and download the manual prior to arrival and take the time then to decipher the instructions. Everything did go together nicely. You can do it but get help.The machine has a built in heart monitor but also detects my polar chest strap transmitter. This is nice in that you can put your hands anywhere and detect heart rate. There is one negative, however, in that the built in fan interferes with the remote signal. The 3 speed fan puts out some interference proportionate to its speed. If you shut off the fan, the remote heart rate works fine. It also works fine(with the fan) if you hold the machine sensors on the bars. I wear my chest strap all the time and use the fan when I don' t care about heart rate readouts. This is not a deal breaker for me.I really love this machine. It's quiet. It does not look or feel cheap. It is comparable to machines twice this price. The convenience of having this at home is really immeasurable. I highly recommend it.

Update 04/27/16I turned on the machine this morning and smoke started coming out of the fan. I have contacted Yowza and I hope that they send a technician with the replacement console to replace and test the machine out.I purchased the Yowza Fiteness Juputer Plus elliptical after doing a lot of research. I like the elliptical for the most part. I love the various built in program options that it has and the option to increase/decrease resistance and stride. I would have liked the control panel to be more intuitive. I am giving it a 3 star due to the fact that the fan stopped functioning after a couple of days of usage. The fan doesn't turn off using the controls on the control panel and neither can I increase/decrease the fan speed. I have to switch the unit off completely in order to turn the fan off.

This unit is OK, but not my favorite. it's a good machine. I purchased this because of the variable stride lengths and this works, but not quite as I was hoping. When you get this set where it is comfortable to use, the control console is very close to your body, making it rather uncomfortable while working out. When you change the stride to be comfortable the unit rotates back toward your chest. I'm not going to return it, but want others to know about this. I will say that this is a nice machine to just jump on and use!! :-)

works well. foot well is a little squeaky. main parts seem very sturdy but came with a little shipping damage. heavy and amazon delivery service will not move it to basement so I had to disassemble much of it to move to basement in parts, which was time consuming.

this is no joke. The workout is great and it has not gotten easier. My husband put it together very easily. It is quite and stable. It moves easy as well. We had to move it to put up our xmas tree and we just rolled it. I love it and will use it for years to come. The only thought is that using a tablet on it is a little tricky and there is not a cup holder. Both things I can live without and make due.

The fan on the control unit burned out twice. After 6 months, the bolt holding the crossbar to the wheel kept slipping until the bolt snapped. I've been unable to get Yowza customer service to respond.

I’ve had mine for over four years and I love it. Sturdy, well built, excellent stride adjustment. Cannot run anymore so I did research on best thing to replace my exercise routine with. Works legs and arms. I love mine!
