Bracelet is one of the best I've seen
Superb in form, function, and feel. Bracelet is one of the best I've seen. Also have the rubber version (chrono in black) and love it; works great in casual settings. Second-hands align with all hash-marks on both watches. This is indeed a rarity, even among high end brands. Accutron now belongs to a bygone era and lacks the respect it so rightfully deserves, though its fascinating history cannot be surpassed. Assuming you are okay with screw-down pushers, (which can be a bit annoying if one is unaccustomed to them), you can not go wrong with this watch--or any of the Accutron Curacao quartz chronographs.

Better in the photo than in person.
To say I was disappointed with this watch is an understatement. First of all I noticed that the bezel had a rather cheap feel to it and was very loose. The band didn't appear as sturdy as I would come to expect in a chronograph watch. The final straw was that the watch arrived with a dead battery which is a first for Amazon with my purchase history. Back it goes.

Great, Durable, Pre Citizen-Owned-Bulova Watch
I'll preface this review by saying I wanted a watch that would "take a lickin' and keep on tickin'", to quote the old adage. I'm a swimmer and cyclist, I drive a desk during the day, and I spend all of my spare time tackling DIY, gardening, woodworking, farming, and other rough-and-tumble projects. That out of the way...When I set out to buy a new watch, my requirements were a sapphire crystal, decent water resistance, luminosity, chronograph and date functions, an easy-to-read face, and a band that could be replaced with a NATO style strap. After much hemming and hawing, I finally settled on this new old stock watch, which met all of the aforementioned requirements in addition to have a diving bezel. As an added bonus, I believe it's from before Citizen bought Bulova and started cheapening the brand (read: no more sapphire crystals). I've been wearing it for about a month now. It looks great with a shirt and tie. The weight is just right—I'm 6', 145 lbs., athletic build—and it's neither too heavy nor too light. It's extremely durable—so far, I've only managed to scuff the band and put one minor scratch on the case (I was moving concrete blocks). The crystal remains unscathed. Those are the positives. The reasons I'm giving it four stars are as follows. First, the band isn't brushed stainless—it's a highly polished chrome. It's going to scuff and scratch no matter how much you baby it, and it's going to show. I'm okay with that—as I said, I wanted a watch that would take a beating, not one that would remain pristine forever. Still, brushed stainless would hide those beauty marks a bit better. Second, the luminosity is utter crap. Even if I wear it in the sun all day, when I wake up in the middle of the night, it's already unreadable. My previous watch—a hunk-of-junk Citizen for different reasons entirely—stayed lit throughout the night. Third, the crown is a little fiddly, and screwing it back down without accidentally advancing the date is a little challenging. A little frustrating, but only a problem when you need to change the date.Overall, a great watch, and certainly better than anything Bulova is putting out today in terms of durability. I just wish the luminosity was a bit better.

This is not an automatic watch. It is quartz.
This is not an Automatic watch like it says in the listing. It's a perfectly fine quartz watch, which is a few hundred dollars cheaper than an automatic.
