Bauhaus was one of the best of Goth!

A fine work of gloom
Before I begin; one thing about Bauhaus -unlike some groups- I can listen, and enjoy the entire album. I have Vol.1 79-83, Mask, The Flat Field, and(of course, recently) The Sky's Gone Out. And what a great addition to my collection, I must say.Now I'm not going to go off tangents about every song, but there are two that I will mention.Track 1: Third Uncle- A wonderful cover originally done by Brian Eno(Taking Tiger Mountain By Strategy). A cover that fits Bauhaus' style like a glove.Track 9: All We Ever Wanted Was Everything- On a softer side(dare I say) to Bauhaus. Overall a mostly-acoustic, yet fantastic piece(Especially with David Jay on upright). Even though the Bauhaus is Goth by trade(and the fathers), this track seems to take on a more alternative side that might be suitable for introducing newcomers(people with a false impression of goth) to Bauhaus and the wonderful world of Goth. And everything in between is flavor not filler. Bauhaus, to me is one of those rare bands that puts such a great creative touch on almost all of their songs, and this album forwards that claim- for me."We love our audience."

Classic Bauhaus Studio Album on Colored Vinyl
2018 UK re-issue of Bauhaus' follow-up to Mask on purple vinyl. The album features several Bauhaus classics including their cover of Eno's Third Uncle, Swing The Heartache (you may recall it as the theme song to MTV's 120 Minutes), the irrepressible Spirit, and my personal album favorite All We Ever Wanted Was Everything.Anyway, you know the songs, so let's get to the quality. This re-issue sounds great! I prefer it to my CD copy. Besides, the artwork and vinyl itself look so much better in this format. Well worth the re-buy for fans. If you don't have this is any format yet, get this.

Original 1982 pressing
Although the description, my item was an original 1982 pressing, a few months ago I bought the Crackle compilation (2011) and I was kind of disappointed on the audio quality, it sounds "digital" and compressed. I don't know how the 180 gram remaster of this one sounds, but this one kicks ass!!!It was on great condition, good balance between loudness and dynamics, great mastering, and of course (to my taste) it's the best Bauhaus album. If you found one, go for it!!!

Bauhaus at their finest.
This and Burning from the Inside are my favorite albums. Get it in Vinyl if you can. It's a little something extra.

Great quality recording and very nice songs. Not my favorite Bauhaus album, but a great one nonetheless. An excellent addition to my goth rock collection.

Goth rock

Brilliant album
The artistic genius of this album aside, this remastered pressing on coloured vinyl was very high quality and excellent sound. Was able to appreciate many of the backing tracks that were not as easily heard in the original vinyl release.
