If the system pressure is too high, the single function switch will interrupt the compressor function. The dual function switch first engages the high speed cooling fan in an attempt to reduce the pressure by increasing the heat transfer at the condenser. Everything fit properly. I ended up using the factory shim and the two shims that came with the kit and so far that has worked out just fine. This was installed right before a 10 hour trip in the summer and the A/C held up the entire time and is still running strong. I bought the part and the snap ring pliers to change it for less than $70. Including shipping. The work took a few hours over a weekend. It wasn't terribly difficult to install and there's You Tube videos I used to learn how. I saved $1,290. by doing this myself and my A/C works like new again. The spacer washer wasn’t thick enough so I had to use the old and the new one. So far so good. Looks like I was missing the second washer that’s in the picture.
