Color:Memory Controller, 71" Fox Teakwood Top, Black Frame  |  Size:71" The ApexDesk Elite Series Height Adjustable Desk distinguishes itself in many ways and is a big bang for your hard-earned buck: ➢ Stability – The underframe is constructed with one-piece center beam for added stability. It is more stable than many desks that have a crossbar. The underframe is heavy-duty and weights close to 90 lbs. ➢ Crossbar-Free – It allows more leg room and flexibility of adding an exercise bike/treadmill by some users ➢ Ease of Assembly – Most users get it up and running in less than 30 minutes, thanks to the screw-less design that uses levers rather than screws to secure beam to the lifting columns ➢ MDF Desktop – Most desks in our price range are constructed with low-grade particle board. Ours is made of MDF (medium density fiberboard) with anti-scratch, high-pressure laminate – a premium material used primarily in high-end furniture. Top itself weighs over 60 lbs.

Extraordinary Value, High Quality
Great Product.I really don't write reviews much anymore. As consumers, we are surveyed and polled at a tiresome, almost intrusive level. BUT, I still read reviews like everyone else :)For me to take the time to write a review, I need to REALLY be impressed.I spend a great deal of time in my Home Office when i am not traveling. I am an executive in charge of personnel working Mass Merchant accounts primarily in the Western US.Before purchasing this product I conducted and intense search. The ApexDesk seemed to be the best VALUE and after receiving and assembling this desk, I am pleased to proclaim the product everything I hoped it would be. I only found one table less expensive but when I looked at it I was left thinking "this table just wont hold up." Most everything else I reviewed was much more expensive. I am working on my ApexDesk as I type this review.... and I am standing..... for the moment.During the day I can raise and lower the working surface to an infinite number of heights that fit my project and mood.. I stand to work 3 to 4 times during my working day and can say altering my position has done wonders for my back and concentration. The legs of this desk are robust, the design of the work surface is curved and is perfect for the way I work. When the table is moving up and down you can here the whir of the motors but not obtrusive at all.The one thing I will mention as a way of caution. This thing is built no last but, it is heavy. Take care when you move it.As I leave you with the main reason I was compelled to write this review. My table top came in damaged from shipping. After assembling the desk, after working hours on the day it arrived, I sent ApexDesk an email around 11p detailing the damage. ApexDesk had a new table top on its way to me the next morning.Made in America and fantastic service! Way to go ApexDesk, Thank You!

Shipping Damage LIKELY, Inoperable Motor Defeats the Purpose
I purchased this desk on 11/4 and have been dealing with problems ever since. First off, I really like the desk. The weight, the look, the size, all great. But the problems I am having are critical failure issues that I am still trying to get resolved. The desktop is compressed board, but extremely heavy, so in shipping any corners or edges have been crushed. You will only discover this once you open the box, as the box may show no signs of travel damage. I called customer service from the supplier off amazon, who has been great in very quickly shipping me a brand new desktop. Then I opened it and once again, crushed corners. VERY frustrating. See the photos included. My office is starting to look like a warehouse. After the first 4 days of moderate usage, the motor stopped working. When you press the controls up or down, it just makes a humming noise and doesn't go anywhere. Obviously, this defeats the entire purpose of the desk. Once again, I called customer service who then had to redirect me to call Apex directly, as they don't carry the parts. As of right now, I am waiting for Apex to respond to with my voicemail (customer service went to voicemail, btw) or my email message.I'm extremely disappointed in this whole process and I remain hopeful Apex will help me out. If the motor worked and the desktop shipped undamaged, I'd give it 5 stars easy. But as of right now, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Hope to have an update soon.

Great battlestation desk with a few drawbacks.
I wanted to upgrade my battlestation to something that can be flexible for work, play, and leisure use throughout the day. And like many of you, I'm rolling my face on the keyboard for most of the day so some standing now and then is important for me.The setup procedure was painless as the legs were already assembled and there were only about 4 compartments that needed to be attached to the desk piece anyway. This really helps for quick assembly and dis-assembly for anyone thinking about moving without worrying about how well the desk will fair through re-assembly, which was very simple to complete. However, after the initial setup I noticed that the electric raiser had an issue, it wouldn't raise or decline. The piece would only make a slight "ticking" sound when trying to operate and customer service went ahead and mailed me a new piece that has been working ever since without an issue. The desk itself is very sturdy. You can climb on top of the desk and raise and lower it without any issue of imbalance or capsizing. (Don't ask why I know this.) However the desk material appears to be some sort of laminate over what I assume to be, pressed wood that gives resistance to scrapes or tapes that could peel away the material and color. And while tape or any sticky material won't be an issue, scrapes can still happen and easily, so be aware of placement and use a mousepad/keyboard pad.Lastly, cable management can be an issue. I have 3 AC adapters, switch, and cables stuck to the bottom side of the desk with double sided velcro adhesives. This has caused some tension between the desks laminate to where it has pulled away from the desk slightly from the extra weight. So I suggest not sticking everything to the bottom of the desk in an effort to reduce cable view.Overall this is a very good desk. And is a cut above any cheap pressed wood ikea build you typically will find making this a great mid tier station.
