FULL APPLE KEYBOARD USERS MUST READ!!!
I use my iMac at home as one of the two external displays for my work-issued Macbook. Having to switch peripherals back and fourth via USB is far from ideal, and having additional bluetooth keyboard/mouse really clutters up the workspace. My workflow is much more efficient with the full Apple keyboard so I bought this switch to eliminate having to reach for the ports located at the back of my iMac.Full Apple keyboard users will have to make a small sacrifice: If you use a wireless mouse, the dongle cannot be plugged to the side of your wired keyboard! Doing so will render this switch useless unless you do not mind unplugging/replugging the mouse dongle back to the keyboard everytime you switch to another computer. The keyboard by itself is fine, but the combination with the mouse dongle seems to mess with the signal. A simple fix I found is to separately connect the mouse and Apple keyboard to a USB hub (non-powered is fine) and connect said hub to the switch. Been working like a charm since.4 stars because the button indicator lights are so uncomfortably bright, I had to put the switch under my desk to not go blind :P

sharing mouse/keyboard with a PC and a MacBook Pro
I use two computers consistently - a windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. Having the ability to quickly switch between the two and use the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor has made things very convenient indeed - should've done this much earlier (the mouse is connected to the keyboard via USB). I looked around for other full fledged KVM switches but quickly realized my needs aren't as complicated and I don't mind changing the input source on my Dell U2711 in additional to A/B switching on this unit. The build quality looks good but I do wish it was a bit sturdy on the desk - the three cables coming out of it dominate the tiny guy. Additionally, it was a little disappointing, at least for my setup, that the included USB cables weren't long enough for the ports I had initially planned to use - a little improvising and all worked out in the end however. As a side note, it really helps if your keyboard/mouse have mac compatible drivers. Overall a very good buy and easy installation that met my needs precisely while saving both desk space and cost.

Perfect for sharing my Bose PS speakers with two computers
Works like a charm. It also comes with two USB 3.0 cables. I'm using it to share my Bose speakers between two computers. Before this, I was using USB on one, and using the 3.5mm connection on the other computer. The problem with that is the 3.5mm plug picked up some noise. It was annoying to say the least. With this, no issues whatsoever.I just ordered another one to share the MS keyboard. I'm using a KVM solution now, but windows cannot fully recognize the keyboard. Again, I lived with it long enough, but for $25 or so, it's a no brainer.Great product, works like a champ.hsb

Seamless with the click of a button
Minus 1 star because I didn't get the version depicted online. Would have liked to have the stand as pictured for easier desk setup (I'll figure out a way to make it accessible while hiding the wires). I am using it to share a wireless keyboard/mouse between a Mac Mini and my Windows work laptop on a docking station. Great setup for transition of my work laptop when working from home.

Switch works great
I bought this to switch my keyboard and mouse between two computers. I connect the wireless receiver into the switch and then connect the USB cables to each computer. I am running Windows 7 on both computers. It works great. There is a few second lag time, but that is OK with me. I also use the Beta version of Sharemouse S/W and it works fantastic. I keep the switch in place for when Sharemouse occasionally locks up. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to other users.

After use - changed recommendation to "DO NOT BUY"!
This product is great!!! It allows me to share my 24" monitor and color printer between my Surface Pro & Laptop. In addition, I plug in an Inateck 3 port USB and now I can share up to three devices, my 24" monitor, a color printer and a USB thumb drive. Saves me lots of time and bothering to eject thumb drives and plug back in to include use of my large monitor.Unfortunately, as great as this device was to start off with, I'm having to change my review to "DO NOT BUY"!!! the connectors in the device seem to be fragile so that any touch or bump to the cables or device caused my monitors to reset - meaning the screens go dark, then reappear. You then have to drag the screen to the larger monitor to continue work. Very frustrating. So what is my recommendation? I do like the small size of this device and looked for a replacement is found in Amazon at this link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JX3Q28Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00"Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch for One-Button Swapping of USB Device/Hub Between Two Computers (A/B Switch)"

Wonderful! I needed to be able to have one back up drive hooked to 2 computers and this does it... does not switch from one to the other super fast but does what you need... very glad I bought it.

Awesome Gadget
Bought this for my boyfriend to transfer files at work from his PC to MAC which he uses both simultaneously. He loves it and now he never has to move the USB drive back and forth between 2 computers. There were more expensive versions that do the same thing, and I'm glad I chose this one because it definitely does the job. Great product and delivered very fast!
