North Coast is probably the album that best exemplifies how the band sounded live, and it produced many concert favorites. ""In The Heartland,"" the perfect opener, not just on record but in concert as well, announces the album's presence with authority, Tommy Dobeck's driving drum beat leading the way. Kevin Raleigh is again well represented on lead vocals with his funky ""Don't You Do That To Me,"" as well as the song about ""not giving up,"" ""We Can Make It"". ""When Your Heart Says It's Right"" formed the ideal couplet live with Stanley's ""Heaven and Hell."" Two all time Stanley/Pelander classics are represented with ""Somewhere In The Night"" and ""Falling In Love Again,"" and Stanley's classic rocker ""Let's Hear It"" rounds things up quite nicely. The album also marks the first appearance in the studio of local sax player Rick Bell.

My CD arrived timely and very well-packaged. I would classify it as MINT condition. Uncle Ronnie included a personalized letter that gave the background on exactly how he came to have the CD. I would absolutely order from him again!

"Lover" still popular after 35 years!
This is one of my favorite albums from the early 1980s. Stanley tells us the story of not only his personal life but his ups and downs trying to band national. "Spanish Nights" recounts his struggle of trying to make it in LA in the early 80s and it didn't happen! This is a fun road trip album or if you take the long ride along the Lake Erie shore on a clear, summer day. This album will make you smile, laugh, shake your head, and move you deeply. You can tell the band was riding a solid wave in their career with this work. Regretfully I was not able to see the band perform this album live. This remastered copy will always bring smiles to me for a hell of a story teller, guitar player, and vocalist.... Michael Stanley.

Hard Driving Rock Hits
Good CD from a great band. This is MSB at their hard driving rock best vice their best stuff as balladeers. Many hits came off this CD so if you already have the second greatest hits CD there will be a lot of repeats from here. Still good though and the two bonus live cuts make it all worthwhile. Cleveland rocks and MSB is the city's best export ever.

Graet album for Michael Stanley Fans
I had four LPs by Michael Stanley Band before CDs came out. And I bought the same 4 again on CD. The mastering and remixing on the CDs sounds just as good as the original vinyl.

After all these years Michael Stanley Band still resonates with fans
Growing up in the Midwest Michael Stanley Band dominated not only the radio but most of the live concert events. North Coast is early in the MSB collection of hits but still after all these years it still finds it's way to my MP3 player almost weekly.
