Review: This pad works fine for me - I've been fingerprinting people for a while now. This pad works fine for me. It's no the best I've ever used when I put the ink on people's hands it usually a little too wet but I just let there hand sit in front of a fan for about 2 seconds and then roll them. The finger prints turn out great everyone. I also recommend that you store the pad upside down with the lid closed all the way, this will ensure the ink stays towards the top of the pad avoiding those unclear images that can occur when not enough ink is used.

**Q: Is the ink non-toxic?**
A: The ink is not toxic and It is not hazardous material.

**Q: What kind of ink does this pad use?**
A: I'm not sure exactly what kind of ink the pad uses, but if you are concerned with cleaning it off of hands afterward, then I can tell you that a little soap and water completely cleans your hands.  This is the best pad i have ever used for clean up.  I used to have to apply the orange gritty cleaner that they use in car garages in order to get most of the ink off the hands.  This pad requires only a little hand soap and water.  I'm not sure I helped with your answer, but I have not had any problems with the fingerprints coming back as inadequate because of the ink.

**Q: Does it need ink or does it come with it**
A: it's ready to use for around 5,000 fingerprints. After that it needs re-ink. No extra ink bottle comes with it.

I've been fingerprinting people for a while now. This pad works fine for me. It's no the best I've ever used when I put the ink on people's hands it usually a little too wet but I just let there hand sit in front of a fan for about 2 seconds and then roll them. The finger prints turn out great everyone. I also recommend that you store the pad upside down with the lid closed all the way, this will ensure the ink stays towards the top of the pad avoiding those unclear images that can occur when not enough ink is used.

Gives good prints Easy clean up. Much better than the two previous cheaper items I purchased. My retired LEO neighbor didn’t like them. I decided on this kit after a local shop was using it for NFA applications
