The pick is made of plastic. One end has little brush about 1/2 inch long and shaped like a Christmas tree. The other end is pointed with tiny ridges. The whole pick is 2 1/2 inches long. We use these picks daily and I keep some in my purse and car. They're very handy for getting at caught food after a meal or snack. By using them, I've kept my teeth and gums in much better condition.

How do these compare to the more expensive G.U.M. brand?

I haven't used the G.U.M. brand, but I believe Brushpicks work as well as flossing and much easier. I wouldn't want to be without them.

Do these have any flavoring like mint or cinnamon or anything? Or are they unflavored?

These are serious picks. No frills. No flavors.

Does it come in the plastic as shown in the display image above?

Yes, & it has a slider to open slightly so you can shake a brushpick out. These have a better head than another brand & work much better.
