I've purchased various tablet cases over the years. For the most part they were fine. However, the KAVAJ genuine leather case I purchased for my new iPad Air Generation 3 is very clearly a big stand out in the crowd of cases. The rich genuine leather has such a luxurious feel. It also has a precision fit, stitching is top notch. The Cognac-Brown color is so rich looking. This case is "Simply the Best" case I have ever purchased! Price was a bit high but well worth it.

This is my 5th or 6th Kavaj product and the second for the same Ipad 10.5. As the bezel has gotten smaller the previous design tended to fray after a while. However, this revised model now allows access to the whole screen while still providing a luxury leather experience which I have yet to find in any other product. I have also had great customer support when needed. Can't go wrong buying this one!

This is my second Kavaj iPad case, I also had a Berlin model for my old iPad Gen3. I'm not sure which one I like better yet, this one has more useful features like card slots, larger pocket, and a pen holder, but the simplicity of the Berlin makes it more convenient. I'd probably like this one better if it didn't have a tab and loop but just used the flap like the one the Berlin has to create a stand. This one does seem to stand up in the landscape position better. The leather is nice and feels very luxurious.I don't like how this new version holds the iPad in a leather-covered plastic frame, but that is true of the new version of the Berlin as well. My old Berlin model had a leather pocket with velcro latch to hold the device inside, which was both more secure and softer (the plastic frame makes the bottom of this case feel very stiff).

This is the seventh Kavaj iPad case I have bought over the years (for myself and others). I have tried others of similar quality, but nothing has beaten this brand for me.I have previously bought Kavaj cases where the iPad slips into the case and is secured by a Velcro flap, and is entirely surrounded by leather (including the bezel). The new iPads have reduced the bezel width that I’m assuming make that design untenable or unreliable. For example, I had this version of the case (London) for my iPad Pro 10.5 but had to replace it (no fault of Kavaj). That London version had the Velcro enclosure and leather holding the bezel. It worked, but because the bezel is narrow, I had to be a little more careful than the previous iPads, but it was very useable. I was surprised when I replaced it that the new London version had a leather wrapped plastic shell to hold the iPad, which leaves both ends exposed, which I do not like, and makes for less leather-wrap feel on the back. (I have been avoiding these types of case design). On the other hand, it does afford more protection to the rest of the iPad, andFits perfectly and securely so there’s a trade off. I do much prefer the buttons and edges to be covered by thin leather though, and I hope Kavaj can find a way to make that work in the future.The tab: when I got the first London I didn’t like the tab at first. Now I much prefer it over the ‘slip in notch’ type of tab. Yes it takes a couple extra seconds to secure it, and to open the iPad, but this design is much more secure while open and closed, and I find it very handy to lift/carry/reposition the iPad by the tab when it’s in the stand mode. I also like that it holds the pencil for the few times that I’m carrying that around.Kavaj customer service had been second to none for me. Very responsive and kind.Overall, if Kavaj again can find a solution to the thin bezel, and make a version with the Velcro enclosure, with or without the tab, that would be my first choice. But their solution to the new iPad’s skinny bezel, while I’m sure a tough choice, is spot on and I won’t change brands as long as they continue to provide these high quality cases.On a side note, I gave my mother my original iPad Air with my Kavaj case years ago, and both are still going strong and continue to work and look great with heavy use. There’s something to be said about the long term quality of this brand which is great to see these days.

KAVAJ products are awesome, this is my third one. Very high quality and provides great protection to iPad. You must carefully decide the right model, one I picked wrong one and KAVAJ connected with me and replaced it! More than happy with results.

Nach Neuanschaffung eines IPad Air 3, mußte eine neue, passende Hülle her. Was tut man, wenn man mehr als einmal gute Erfahrungen mit einem Hersteller gemacht hat ? Man bestellt dort immer wieder.Die Hülle besteht aus komplett Leder, die linke Innenseite ist mit 3 eingelassenen Fächern für Visiten / Kreditkarten o.ä., sowie mit einem schwarzen Material beschichtet, dass Kratzer verhindern soll.Auf der rechten Seite, wird das IPad in einen minimalistisch gehaltenen Kunststoffrahmen eingeklemmt, so dass das komplette Display uneingeschränkt zu sehen und zu bedienen ist. Das IPad sitzt bombenfest in der Halterung. Auf der Rückseite sind alle Aussparungen für die Kamera etc. exakt angeordnet.Verschlossen wird die Hülle mit einer Lederschlaufe, die beim stehenden Betrieb des IPad gleichzeitig als Sicherung dient.Als weitere, durchdachte Funktion, ist an der Seite noch eine Gummischlaufe als Halterung für den Apple Pencil angebracht.Verarbeitung ist KAVAJ gemäß hervorragend, alle Nähte sind gerade vernäht, insgesamt macht die Hülle einen hochwertigen Eindruck.

Qualitativ eine TOP-Lederhülle. Den Vorgänger habe ich schon vor einigen Jahren für mein erstes iPad gekauft. Und diese sieht noch immer sehr gut aus. Natürlich hat sie Abnutzungserscheinungen durch den täglichen Gebrauch aber die Wertigkeit und die Verarbeitung der Nähte sind auf einem TOP Niveau. Bei der neuen Lederhülle ist die Aufbewahrung des Apple Pencil durch eine Lasche an der Schließe möglich. Da hat man mitgedacht. Klasse. Für mich sind die Lederhüllen von KAVAJ immer erste Wahl.

Ich habe bereits zum dritten Mal bei Kavaj eine Hülle für IPads - jetzt für das IPAD Air 2019 - bestellt. Mit der Lederhülle London ist der Firma wieder ein guter Wurf gelungen. Qualität und Haptik sind herausragend. Weiches Leder eben. Wer den Pencil nutzen will, findet wohl derzeit keine Hülle, die den Stift sicherer und praktischer verwahrt. Überzeugt hat mich auch die Passgenauigkeit: Schnell und sicher wird das IPad Air positioniert, kein Fummeln und Schieben, was bei den Vorgängern der Hülle noch zu bewerkstellen war. Neu sind Fächer für 3 Visitenkarten und Notizzettel - was ich nicht brauche. Mit einer Lasche wird die Hülle fest geschlossen. Solange das Leder noch nicht gedehnt ist, ist das etwas umständlich. Dafür klappt die Hülle aber sicher auch beim Transport nicht auf. Die Ware kommt entsprechend edel und sicher verpackt. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
