I had this for a couple of months before I actually had an issue with it, but an important issue! I am currently renting a house with an open property. With that being said, I can’t just let my dog outside or she would take off and, of course, my landlord won’t put in a fence... thus, the start of my problem. To let my dog enjoy the outdoors without myself having to be outside more than I would personally like ( she is an outside dog and prefers to be out as long as possible) I put my dog (Saluki mix, looks more like a Border Collie) out on a long leash and supervise her from inside while she normally basks in the sun. Well, today she decided to go after a cat that wandered by and broke right off the loop that is attached to the collar, losing all of her dog tags along with it...Long story short, I spent a good portion of my day trying to frantically find her. I guess I just want people to know that this isn’t that sturdy of a collar and might only work for the regular walks or for a dog that is more mellow. I bought this collar specifically for the metal clip, thinking that it was well made and durable... that’s not the case. The loop is just as important and it broke so easily.In case you were wondering, the cat got my dog stuck in some bushes behind someone’s house and It took me forever to free her, but she is safe now.... Don’t let it happen to you!

I went to 3 pet stores looking for the right collar for my dog. I had a very good quality collar but she had turned 8 and I decided for her birthday to get her a new collar. I don't like the plastic buckles. Most are black and the color would rub off on my Aussie's white chests. It is hard to find metal snap buckles. When I stumbled upon these I was thrilled...they were everything I wanted and the designs were awesome. When I arrived I wasn't disappointed. Very good quality. I absolutely love it. I went with the small. My dog's neck is 15" and I could have gone small or medium since they overlap. I chose the small and it it perfect.
