Good camera but lags by a 8th of a second. Once the filter is removed it see IR will. Good resolution. No complaints.

I wanted to take pictures from the Linux terminal/command line of sunset and sunrise skies. This module worked fine with cheese (a GUI front end) and with streamer, a command line prog. I finally moved on to using fswebcam which is also a command line program, it grabbed the best pictures and is highly configurable. To take a picture: fswebcam -r 2048x1536 --jpeg 85 -D 1 web-cam-shot.jpg Highly recommended!

5.2 frames per sec at 1080. 3.4fps at 2592X1944. This is almost useless at these rates. Image has bad motion blur and takes about 1 to 2 sec before image is stable. Will be returning.

I bought this camera to detect barcodes in images and found out it's not suited for the task. Basically, using software that detected barcodes in images captured with my cell phone or via Logitech c920, I couldn't detect barcodes in images captured with this camera. I am not sure why. Maybe it's the wide angle curvature or insufficient resolution or limited ability to handle low light conditions. The camera does have several advantages, hence 3 stars. 1. plug'n'play. I connected it to my Mac, and it worked right away. 2. The picture quality is actually quite decent (just wasn't enough for me). 3. The wide angle gives you a broad field of vision.

4 stars only for size. I was looking for as small as possible usb cam. Other than that - nice. I actually bought 3 of them for my small robotic project. works with UVC. I use AForge.

It worked right away with my nexus 7 and provided a nice, responsive picture, but there is no way this is even close to 120 degrees. I ran several tests at varying distances (nothing over 15' yet) and everything was a little under 90 degrees. I wanted a wide angle so I could use this as a dashcam but cannot do that with this at all. As long as you go in knowing what the angle is, it should work fine for you. There is a fisheye affect with the lens. It comes with a rubber cap for the lens.

Works great. Provide your own casing/mounting and software; works with any modern OS without additional drivers due to following the "UVC" (usb video class) standard, I've even used it with a Chromebook. It has a noticeably wider field of view than your typical webcam. Also, the circuit board is pretty small, compare to the size of the usb plug in the photos.

Defective out of the box, wires seem crimped or damaged and unit would not stay on
