Odyssey 101 Strap Kit

I don't recommend this strap kit. The glue on the Velcro connector end doesn't stick very well to an older take up reel, no matter how much you clean it. Worse yet, the black plastic connector that attaches the strap to the pool cover has a tendency to pop off. I ended up screwing in the strap to the take up reel and using my old connectors to attach the strap to the pool cover. Overall bad design.

One reviewer stated the Velcro does not stick very well to an older reel and he/she is right. I had the same problem. I resolved it buy going to the hardware store and buying more Velcro to wrap completely around the reel. This also makes it easier to reconnect the cover to the reel. I have to remove the solar cover from the reel to make sure it lays flat on the water and covers the whole pool.
