I found myself pleasantly surprised with the functionality and usefulness of the Splat mat and accompanying bib. The mat washes so easily, and hung outside, dries in the (Southern Texas) sun in time for our next meal. The mat packs up very compactly, and fits in our diaper bag, making it perfect for picnics. It’s also the perfect mat for crafts, especially Playdo. Let the dough crumbs dry, and shake them right off.The accompanying bib was a wonderful surprise. It is long sleeve with elastic around the wrist area, so it covers my son’s sleeves without falling over his hands. I can shake it out after he eats, spot clean it, or rinse it off in the sink and then hang it outside where it dries for the next meal. Then I throw it in the wash at night, and it’s ready for tomorrow.I highly recommend both items. They are great additions and so helpful in keeping messy mealtimes easier to clean up!

Yes, please, and thank you! With 4 kids 5 and under, life can be a little messy sometimes. Between breakfast, and snacks, and second breakfast, and lunch, and so on, I feel like most of my day is spent in the kitchen. And the floor is always gross. But I bought this mat and one of a different brand to try out and see if it would help to make mealtime cleanup easier. And, oh, it does! At the end of the day, I can just give this bad boy a shake and toss it in the wash for sticky, wet messes. It washes up super nice and seems like it will hold up well! My only complaint is that it doesn’t fit perfectly under the table, where my two messiest eaters are, but a little folding and maneuvering and it still functions the same. I highly recommend getting multiples so you have a backup when one is in the wash!

I've been using this mat for almost 2 years now, and it still looks amazing. I seriously love the material it's made out of. It is very washable, and hardly anything can stain it. It's also a good size, although I wouldn't complain if it was a little larger. My kid likes to throw food and they have a good arm, so it doesn't always catch everything, but it was the biggest mat I could find, and it catches almost everything. Overall, I love it and would purchase it again.

Our use was initially to provide an area for our new puppy to play on and prevent accidents from ruining the carpet of hardwood floors. While accidents still happened in areas away from the mat, the mat provided a great place to play. We have since found many other uses for this durable mat that we ordered a second.Inexpensive, durable and protect from liquid spills, they are versatile for many applications.

It’s a really good size, largest I could find, which is great. Also machine washes easy, which is great too... but since I use it daily for my baby’s BLW meals, I wish it was more waterproof so food wouldn’t stain so easily and I could just wipe it off, or more lightweight, so I could actually spot wash. As it is, it’s too heavy to spot wash, also cos water will slide off the whole thing.

This mat is bigger than most. Easy to clean. comes with little pads to stick to the bottom so the mat doesn't slide.I got the swirly gray color and it has the little smock that comes with it. Great for my 7 month old! This mat and smock will grow with her and I will be able to use for other things not just feeding/snack times.I wish the other color options had the smock too.

This product is great! My son can be a messy eater and tends to drop food on the floor quite often. This mat helps keep the food off the floor. I haven’t used it for anything other than a high chair mat but I would assume it would be great for putting down at a park or even the beach. My only complaint was when I first opened the package and for the first day or so there was a strong plastic smell but I no longer smell it. Would definitely recommend.

I love the idea of a splat mat - we just got new carpet in our living room (near our open space kitchen/dining room) and we wanted to protect it. I'm not sure if it's because we had part of the mat on hardwood and part on carpet, but it was more of a hassle than a help. The mat didn't stick to the ground so it was constantly bunching up when you moved the highchair on it or if you walked on it. It really became more of a trip hazard than anything else. I got so tired of it, I just stopped using it. I'll clean the floors instead.I plan to use it for art projects or super, super messy dinners rather than to have it constantly down.It does wash easily and dry well.
