Nice replacement part
Bought this because the new Gm ones don't have the LED back lights anymore and it works like a charm. My dash lights were dimming and if you pushed on the faceplate of the switch they would stay bright for a while and then go out again. I took it apart and cleaned it and put new dielectric on the contacts but the surfaces are wore out and it only worked a short while. This went in very easy as shown in utube videos and works as a original did. Very happy with it so far.

slightly different color and the lights are a little different color than the rest of the dash - but my old one did not light up so I didn't even know I was missing that. the thumb wheel on my original switch was loose so the dash lights would go out by themselves, this switch plugged right in and fits perfect, works great

Fits 2006 Sierra. Black vs. Gray but was easy to swap faceplate with old OEM one
Installed in 2006 Sierra. Black versus original gray but, it was easy to pry off the original faceplate and swap it onto the replacement to retain the factory gray color match. Illuminated backlight. 1 year in and still working with no issues or concerns.

It isn't an exact OEM part, but works just as well.
The Standard Motor Products HLS-1048 Multi-Function Switch was easy to install and very close to the OEM part. The light color is different than the other dash lights and the feel of the switch isn't as smooth as factory, but I am happy with the purchase.

Wow, solution to a multitude of issues related to ...
Wow, solution to a multitude of issues related to my recently purchased 06 Silverado! DRL's on sometimes, interiors lights not coming on OR would not shut off at all - for hours. Some side marker lights would work with turn indicators - sometimes not at all! All issues disappeared with this replacement. Will admit I have not used truck at night yet, so I cannot attest to the brightness of the housing lighting, but the color of the housing is not something that should dissuade you from this purchase. Followed a short YouTube video on replacement process. At tops with cleaning dash area of dust and dirt, it took all of 15 minutes. Well worth the effort and the price sure beats the OEM part price by nearly 1/2.

I'm happy
A little disappointed it didn't come with the orange and green indicator leds for manual on and off but that's pretty much not needed anyway but functionality works great no complaints it's been a month
