I received a few bad bulbs but exchange is not an issue. 1 bulb when shut off by the app emitted an annoying high pitched screech like ringing in your ears. One day the app updated and would not connect. Since I had not created an account to login and restore my devices the only option was to reset 15 bulbs by turning them off and on in a process designed to test your will. Once it's up and working 2 or 3 times a day the app freezes leaving you unable to turn any lights on or off. The only work around is to force stop the app via the settings menu 2 or 3 times a day. Once it's relaunched it works for a few hours before freezing up again. Should of paid more for Hue!

My 13 year old daughter loves it, easy to connect to Bluetooth although wasn't able to use Wi-Fi because trying to hook up through phone it prompts you to use LAN and nothing by way of WEP,

Do not bother with this awful product. If your lucky enough for the app to even and not constantly close itself every time you open it, the bulb won't go into search mode no matter how times you look like an idiot turning a light on and off at ten second intervals. Horrible product. Way better ones out there that actually work with the app! Waste of what little money I have. Now I have a very fancy looking 45 watt bulb that does absolutely nothing else!
