aaliyah more than a woman

It was okay Writer filled the book with more info that really had nothing to do with Aliyah and the filler was more about history of music companies. It definitely was not an interesting book. It didn't provide anymore detail than was already known. I skimmed through most of it trying to get to more about her life. It never got there. I feel like I wasted my money. Wouldn't recommend buying. If Wendy Williams is producing a movie from this it's going to be long and boring!

What a disgrace to our beloved angel aaliyah!! So sad!! Nothing in this book wasn't already seen on e true Hollywood story! 80 percent of this book was about stories and references to other celebrities. Just pure name dropping. Garbage!! I'm a huge fan and I went thru this book in 1 hour!! Skip over the other stories and the entire book would be a few pages long!

This book is full of information! Its imformative it has lots of interview content, however while reading this book mentioned Lauren Hill more then 50 times, also P. Diddy, and Alicia Keys. Even the first chapter Aaliyah wasnt the focus. i loved the referencing to an extent, this was over doing it. If I wanted to read a book on Lauryn Hill I would have bought her bio. But this book has great information and interviews from this Times Reporter that writes the book that you probably wouldnt find anywhere else.

This was a good read, bittersweet because I she was still with us. Funny how the Lifetime movie was suppose to be based off this book but it was not.

I had this book back in junior high when it came out and recently purchased it again. This book is engaging and has heart. Eventhough I read this previously, I still didn't want to put it down or for it to end. I highly recommend it if you wanna feel Aaliyah's spirit and the love people have for her. God bless you all.

i love it

I have a copy of this book already, but, i wanted to purchase another copy to replace the older one that I already have. :) It's a great story about a star that was just beginning to shine, but, was burned out by an unthinkable tragedy. :-( But, above all, I love the book and I love and miss Aaliyah very much.

A wonderfully written narrative about an significant and genuine artist. What the biography lacked in, insightful information was made for in modest and intriguing perspectives of this young woman 's life. Most importantly it engages the reader.
