it's a good purchase for simplicity
The pole shipped quickly and arrived seemingly intact without any apparent damage to box. After digging the post hole I put the plastic sleeve on the pole and the pole in the ground hole.I poured quick setting cemt in the hole It set fast (maybe too fast) because my leveling for true vertical was 1/16"-1/*" off on one side and couldn't budge the pole all which which didn't seem to bother me much but after extending the pole it was visually indeed just a bit leaning. Still, not enough to even bother me.The oly issue I had was the bottom pole section didn't deploy. I think the water I soaked the cement with filled the hole got inside the pole via the hole and locked it up. It's high enough as it is without the bottom one being deployed so I'm ok with this any higher, the leverage and chances for bending become greater. Yes, the pole recessed a few sections after a few days but, it wasn't something some 2" hose clamps couldn't fix (a trick I saw a retired General neighbor do on his same type pole. aside from digging the hole and the cement setting fast, any Barney Fifth could fly this and set this up. It's not Rocket science.

Not what it could be...not strong enough for windy climates
I bought this pole based on how it worked(telescoping) and that it looked pretty nice. The reviews were a little mixed on how it would perform in the wind. I bought it at any rate and installed it with no problem. I figured I'd lower it when we had high winds. We had several days of wind and I tried to lower it but was not so successful in bringing it down as the connecting pipes would not turn easily. I managed to get some sections to come down, but not all of them would release. After the wind subsided, I attempted again to try to get these sections to collapse and was not successful in getting this done. I left the pole in a less than fully extended position and continued to be wary of the winds. It seemed to be OK for most of the summer, but I was concerned I couldn't have the pole function as it should. Then we got a good blow this September and the photos show how well it performed. I'd say this pole is not rated for much wind at all. My wind gauge indicated we had a 36MPH gust and this pole didn't make it. The pole bent over with it extended only about 15', because that was all the further we got raise it, and, in addition to wrecking itself, it also destroyed the light we had installed on it.I am pretty careful to take care of things I have and we did our best to try to maintain this flag pole so this kind of thing wouldn't happen. Once this pole ins't capable of lowering, it becomes harder to change flags out without taking the pole out of its mooring. I'd much rather go back and use the rope style and not have this kind of issue. The flag that comes with this pole is a very light nylon material and fades very quick too.I would not advise the purchase of this pole unless you are going to be using it inside or where the wind doesn't blow at all or very light winds. I am disappointed in this purchase and the loss of the pole and light.Update to review; This supplier has did their due diligence in seeing to the fact that they are a good company and fully stand behind their product. I was given an opportunity to have them send me a new pole or a refund. I chose to have the refund as I think another pole of the same caliber would yield the same result. I have updated the review from 2 star to 4 based on the fact that they do what they say. The product, while looking very nice, just doesn't do well in a high wind area.
