Burned
BurnedRating 4.5Although Lincoln is happy to be a part of her sister wedding she canโt help but think that her relationship with Anthony is in trouble. Lincoln has been dating Anthony for 2 years and during the last year of their relationship she begins to see a change in him.Nick Barona bad boy of Cleveland, in previous book Nick was the charter you didnโt like but Ms. Brown has found a way redeemed Mr. Nick and I have to say that he is his worth in gold. Their love story begins when Nick was asked by his friend to check up on his future sister-in-law while out of town. The story goes from these two becoming friends to realizes that they had quite a bit in common. Nick & Lincoln began to have feeling for each other but was cautious to act on them. You will enjoy their journey to love; and how they overcome those stumbling blocks that was put in their way. You will see the change and the love they have for each other. Nick transformation was great to see and you get to see how Lincoln with Nick helps begin to heal. After all Anthony put her through she came out on top. This book will have you laughing, cheering, and it may have you shedding a few tears, I have read all three books in the series so far and this one by far is my favorite. The other books in this series are: 1.) Smoke & Fire, 2.) The Men of CLE-FD.I recommend this book as well as the other two.SmoochesLouise

Burned Book 3 was Scorchingly Good!
Burned Book Three was absolutely amazing. Lincoln and Nick's story is a scorcher. The story begins with Lincoln being happy that her sister Reagan is finally getting ready to marry firefighter Orlando..At the same time Lincoln's relationship with fellow firefighter Anthony Jenkins was going in the opposite direction. So Lincoln starts to ask other firefighters about his behavior and suspicious and constant absence. When Orlando and others refuse to help, Lincoln asks Nick to help after seeing him in the restaurant laughing when Anthony had told her Nick had called in sick, and he was covering Nick's shift. Eventually Nick started to feel sad for Lincoln because of Anthony's lies and agreed to help her get the goods on Anthony. As time passed Anthony's actions were revealed to be total lies and Lincoln severed their relationship and Nick becomes involved emotionally with Lincoln. The problem with their relationship broke the firemen's code for fire station 30. The code of honor between the men had been slashed with Nick's relationship with Lincoln. The story takes on many dimensions that deal with race relations, bigotry, hatred, jealousy, trust issues and an abiding love between two people.. This was a fabulous love story..

Will Read again
I'm reading back ward. i started from book 5 up and i 'm not disappointed so far. To me Lincoln was just plain spoil when she left and never let any one no where she was. she was having a pity party and no one was invited. I still don't feel her love for Nick she was just too caught up in the hurt and the lies of Anthony. In book 5 Nick best friend was Alex they grew up together and keep in contact according to book 5 yet no introduction to Lincoln the love of his life(maybe should have start at 1 and not 5...lol) is Linda in this book the same Linda in book 5?

This story was AWESOME! ! !
I started reading this book about 9pm Saturday night and could not put it down until I finished it, which was about 5am Sunday morning. The story was too real. I felt Lincolns' pain (having gone through similar situations myself), despised Ant ( again, very similar behavior ), and cheered on Nick ( wish I had found some one like him in my lifetime). Everyone behaved badly though; the varying degrees of wrong behavior by most of the parties involved, helped to escalate the violence. I laughed, was on the verge of tears for Linc and wanted to kick Ants' ass sooo bad!I usually take off a star for things like spelling, punctuation and sentencing structure, but the story was so engrossing I let the mistakes slide. Enjoyed this book immensely!

Did you ever get a soda from a fast-food drive-thru...
And you take three swallows and the cup is empty? It's filled with ice and a promise to be refreshing. The story had it all going for it but got bogged down with redundant scenes. How many times did Lincoln have to run into Gwen and Melanie to rehash her ex's dastardly deeds? How many times did Ant have to be an ass before Engine 30 realized he was not stable?Did I miss the event when Nick behaved in a racist fashion? The entire book hinted at them once being best friends, when did that happen? It would explain Ant' s boorish behavior. At the risk of sounding like a sci-fi geek there were some temporal anomalies that annoyed me. I can't find them at the moment but when the book started I thought the wedding was in a couple of weeks. That wasn't the case. It shouldn't bother me but it did. This author can tell a interesting story it would be nice if she could do it succinctly. It's a good story. Just be forewarned.

Loved it!
Lincoln and Nick were great together. They had chemistry and lots of fun. Anthony was a jealous jerk that wanted his cake and then some. He was a overbearing cheater and liar who thought that he was the only one entitled to happiness. I hated Melanie. Especially when she showed up to Lincoln's house. I mean for what really? She just did that to rub it in her face. Gwen in this book was just an uppity piece of work. I really liked how she looked out for Jon in the other book. But in this book she was something else. I love Lincoln's family and the way they excepted Nick an Isodora.

The Code
Nick always like what he seen in Lincoln but she belonged to Anthony. Anthony let her go in not so kind of a way &opened the door for Nick to step in.Oh what a ride they had falling in love.No smooth saling to happily ever after but stuck together thru all the trials.Excellent read!!
