Simple Beauty
I have always loved copper utensils, more for the memories they trigger than anything but also for their raw beauty. Copper does tarnish and requires maintenance if you want to keep it shiny but the tarnish also gives copper a special personality. I was excited to receive one of these cups for evaluation and am mostly pleased with it. I did find a flaw with it relating to the manufacturing process.Right out of the box this cup is beautiful; bright and shiny and casting a reflection on the counter where I set it down. My cup had already started to tarnish just a tiny bit and to me that just adds to the beauty of it. It has a very satisfying ring when flicked. I took it to my office and set it on my desk and was complimented on it several times. When filled with a very cold beverage, it sweats beautifully. While this is pretty it also means needing a coaster if you want to avoid wet spots on your desk or counter top. This is not a fault, just an observation worthy of mention.Looking at the outside of my cup there is no noticeable blemish. However, when I look inside and shine a light within it becomes clear how it was made - 6 distinct lines run vertically down the inside of the cup. It looks like these were welded and then mostly smoothed and buffed, but there are a couple of small gouges in the side that were not completely smoothed out and can trap contaminants. Oddly enough, the brass handle which is clearly welded on does not have representative dimples inside the cup. I am not sure if my specific cup is representative of the manufacturing process or if I got a unique one.The welding lines aside, this is a beautiful cup that is brilliant when shined and has a charm to it when it starts to tarnish. It’s very functional and make s a fantastic conversation starter.Disclaimer: I was provided a sample of this product in exchange for a fair, honest and thorough review. Even though I received this product at no cost I have rated and reviewed this product without bias, based solely on my experience with it.

100% copper outside and inside
Wonderful price for quality copper mugs. Most "pure"cooper mugs are nickel or stainless steel lined, these are the real deal and all copper.

After the first use, they had dark spots all over them. I don't believe they were all cooper.
